Considering this video was made over a year ago, might I suggest the intended replacement to the 9600GT series? It's the nvidia GT 220 with 1GIG GDDR2 or with GDDR3. It doesn't require a psu upgrade like some of the higher end cards would. The GT 220 requires a min 350 watt psu. So if you're interested in the 9600 then you should consider the higher end alternative in the GT 220. The price range is $85-$100. Very affordable.

i have the 9600 GSO Fatality 768mb and i must say i am very very happy with it for the price. bought it at FRY's about a year or so ago for $100 with a $30 mail in rebate. I use FSX and it runs very nice, cant max it out but does great. I also play fallout 3 with mods that increase spawns maxed out and it stutters every once in awhile but all in all i really really like this card

My 9600GSO is only 512MB. Rest of my system is Core i7 920 running at 2.8Ghz (Turbo setting) 4GB of DDR3 1333 and a Corsair HX620 modular PSU.

It's a good system and can run Stalker at max but I aint sure about Crysis.

The best cards to buy now are the 8800gts and the 8800gt, i own an asus 9600gso and it cost me 80 quid. I wish i waited till the gts came down in price like it is now 70 quid is a snip for a real high end card, if you want a beast of a card tho.. opt for the ATI4850 1Gb the cataliyst drivers for this card in february will be stunning, especially if you order two in crossfire.

e8400 = very good for crysis on high

8800GS = very good for crysis on high

that 2 gig of ram could be better though...

you will have 50 - 60 FPS

put cryis on high, as very high doesnt work on xp

there is no such thing as a geforce 9600 gso 512mb, only 384 and 768. YES IT DOES MAKE A DIFFERENCE. Less onboard memory being used and more bandwidth.....
