I have ordered some Bill Lawrence Tele pickups for my custom(being made) 69 Thinline Telecaster. Its gonna be so beautiful, tongue oiled Zebrawood string throufh Yay!!!
When I was searching for an alternative wood for my next guitar build, I found your thread over by tdpri.com and I not only found a great guitar, I found a great guitar player too! You changed also my mind about the guitar itself - I think my next one will be a tele.... with pine body.... You got my respect for both building and playing this guitar! Greetings from Switzerland, Marc
Hey Arlo! stan from TDPRI. I was wondering if You've ever done the "AC-30 Clean with a touch of Delay/Reverb". I'm really torn if I should get The Flextone without hearing one of my favorite Tones first or just go with a CC2? I dig the whole idea of what the XL is about but am fearful that I won't get the clear clean Tele Tone that a Vox and a Tele are capable of. Nobody around here has the XL or I woulda done this months ago and the CC2 is just as scarce.
Arlo... months later this song is still epic. I recently purchased a Standard (Mexico) Telecaster that was apparently made on a Wednesday... the Tele can do so much more than country, and you prove it every time someone watches this vid.
That is an amazing performance! How can I get your stuff? Iam 47, wanted to play all my life and finaly commiting-you inspired that desire! Have a nice Martin Acoustic but currently looking to electric! Considering Tele's (obviously),Strats and Paul's. How do I move toward the sound that you are acomplishing, What is the Pinehurst deal?
I know I should work it out myself, but any chance you could tell me what key you are in and what scale you are using. I'd love to be able play like that. Brilliant job Arlo.
I'm back again....number who knows? That transition at 3:04 is killer.... keeps bringing me back. I don't want to gush, but the whole damn thing is killer. thanks.
ive been looking into one of those el dorado leather pickguards for my tele. are they worth it? a friend of mine said that a leather pickguard reduces the crackling and buz that you get with a regular plastic but i (like you) custom built my tele and ive never heard a crackle or buzz from it in the first place.
Arlo, you're absolutely fantastic! So much soul and feeling. In my opinion, it's difficult for any guitar player to keep a solo interesting for more than few minutes. You've done it for more than five and had me wishing for an hour more. You're an inspiration. Thanks.
boy oh boy!! my nephew is sitting with me and he told me you looked exactly like kenny rogers. i told him just to listen and forget those "kenny" look-a like crap. well, we enjoyed it very much! now he's tellin me you sound better than alexi laiho.
What model of pups? I use 290 and 280's on my strat, I was thinking about the 200's... you sound really great,(good playing)! Take this as compliment I'm a very picky guy for guitar playing ( I'm a guitar player too).
Just as talent is 10% & effort is 90%, the player is 90% and the equipment is 10%, philosofically speaking. But bad equipment can make you sound like crap! Great playin man!
do you know how to connect the flextone to the pc?, i have a midi-usb connector, but i dont know sure how to do it. Please help me, thank you very much
Thanks for the inspiration! I had lost all hope of finding the sound I want out of the Line 6 - but hearing you in action proves that wonderful tone is there for the taking if you have the patience to find it! After 20 years on the circuit - inspiration is hard to come by....for the 1st time in a long time - I am INSPIRED! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!
What a great instrumental Arlo, suprised at the tone from the Line 6...very good. The Tele kicks ass and has a wonderful voice. The leads work real well with the backing track, great tune bro'
Outstanding... this is one of those songs that makes me want to start practicing again. Loved it, reminded me a lot of Satch or Vai in a couple parts, but you definitely have your own flavor, great job. Inspiring.
Mean pine-made instrument, jaw-dropping tone, i mean mother of god that TELE bites!, the riffs definitely come from a seasoned, mkes me think of Vai, Boy was that a compliment or what

Hey Arlo, You must be cool because your wear-in a "Skynyrd" tee shirt. I love your guitar tones and I'm with ya brother as I just bought a Spider 212 150 combo. Line 6 is cool too!
