Wow this is old as hell! The PS3 didn't even ship with this! It offered so much more! Music, Movies, Games, Internet, PSN, Friends, etc. The European version even offers a TV tab where you can watch all the BBC Channels FOR FREE! PS3 is the best!

not really, consoles still suffer from it. I had a RE5 360 and it got the Red Ring.

I know one way to fix the Red ring, extend the system out a couple of inches to the left and install a bigger heat sync (The reason why the consoles started to suffer was because during the design phase they were going to use a bigger heat sync, but it got in the way of the DVD drive, so they cut the heat sync in half.

I have both and for online play, xbox is better but the ps3 console itself has so much more, its better value and better made, the ps3 is £300 and the xbox is round £150 but then you will have to pay £40 for a membership, £60 for a wireless adapter, £15 for a control charger then £150 for HD DVD and ps3 has blue ray which is even better, so if you want all those features the same as the ps3 then the ps3 is better value but if you say ps3 is too expensive, well look at how much more u are getting
