when i got my bird, it was 1 week from eating seed so i had to do this. being first time it got messy and he has some dried food in his face. after 1 month its till there, stuck to his feathers near his eye, how do you get rid of it?
how old are they when this video recorded? I thought they are about to weaned? how rapid you fed them at this age? twice with baby formula and some grains?
@mysticabib well not all the babies that are parent fed will be like wild cockatiels, once they are about 3-4 weeks old, you can get in the nest box and hold them, so they get used to human interaction
If you want tame chicks, you have to handfeed them from 2 or 3 weeks of age until they eat on their own around 8 weeks of age. If you dan't care if they are tame, then you can let the parents care for them. Most cockatiels make good parents.
hey is there anytime in the chicks youth will u have to handfeed them? or will they parents feed them theirselfs until they are old enuff to eat on their own?
I use Exact hand feeding formula. I usually start hand feeding between 10 and 14 days of age.

Yes, if you want he to be friendly. If you want wild cockatiels for breeding, then you don't have to.
