I didn't know this until recently but the magna is pretty different from the anime. If people want to see Winry really develop as a character you should read the magna.

The good news is that they're making another Fullmetal Alchemist series that sticks to the manga better. The bad news is that the manga still isn't done so they might go off in fillers again. So yes, there is an alternate method for people who don't like to read.

@Redflametrow Yes I have heard. I watch it in English every Saturday... Still lame filler recap episodes but we will see a plot soon I am sure. The first episode has ABSOLUTELY NO RELATION TO THE PLOT. It's quite sad really.
