Maybe, Just Maybe. These regiments will one day stand on their own again. If we want it, we are now able to push for it.... All of us, all 6million of us.
What a wonderful Tribute to all those that served , & still today serve !!! Salutes given , to , all the Regiments , from both sides of the Pond !!! !!! The Ladies from Hell !!! It is with Honour ,, We Salute you !!!
Brilliant, I just stumbled on to this video, I listened with pride and joy as my father was a 51st Highlander (Hells Decorators) during the 2nd world war and I love the pipes and wear my kilt on any occassion, shame on the politicians who saw fit to change names of the Regiments again, but they will never change the spirit.
was a member of 16th battalion Canadian Scottish Regiment and have tatooed on my left shoulder, "Ladies From Hell" in tribute to our efforts in the Great War. Any man who wore a kilt into battle was considered a lady from hell.
was also drummer and drum major for the pipe band. great fun.
@hdeast They are not glorifying war at all. The Scots have an enormous amount of National Pride. That's what makes them Scots. No Scot I know glorifies war but I don't know many Scottish people who are cowards. They fight tenaciously for their country and distinguish gallantry when they fight. This channel is HONORING their sacrifice. For to fight and die in battle is a completely selfless and courageous act that deserves recognition.
Excellent song and well done all troops in the Scottish Regiments, and this is from a sister regiment"The Royal Newfoundland Regiment". Well done lads!!!!
a very good tune to get the blood boiling but should have kept the gordons as one of the seven as they were the finest fighting unit to date from ex gordon
Only a short version of a great song/tune. Very emotional as grandad was in black watch and other grandad in highlanders as well as dad. As always proud to Scottish. For details on how to get full version check out waves radio.

If my memory serves correct, Canadians were the last to wear kilts to battle with the BLACK WATCH. I'm not sure, but I think this is correct
siky678 2 years ago
wwe wore our Klts in the trenches in WW1 they used a canvas cover.. but after a while because a frozen kilt cut the backs of legs trousers were worn
