Glad to see a local gal doing well. Also nice to see your video set at home. My buddy is the cop in the video! Well Done. You should start a facebook page and get more fans with that..
I NEVER sign up to comment on sites but I had to!! OH my GOODNESS! You are AWESOME! I was brought to tears. We are living in MA but I grew up in MI and every time I come "home" my heart breaks at the sadness surrounding the city. Best of Luck with the career -- thank you for your raw honesty and courage!
Thank you Julianne for a great song & video, which moved me to tears. It highlights the devastation of homelessness. The children's eyes, the mother's despair, the helplessness, amid normality of daily life, is heart-wrenching. "Lord hear her cry...for this Chevy ain't no place, for a mum to sing a Lullabye...." Bless your good work Julianne. Dear Lord, may the homeless find homes.
Julie you were great with Alto Reed last night at the Bluewater Festival. Be nice if Bob Segar asked you to tour with him in Oct. You definitely have alot of talent.
Yes I am from a little north of Detroit. I wrote the song, and the music was produced by Nolan Mendenhall, with some wonderful musicians from Detroit. Video was directed by Stephen Clark. Thank you very much! I'm happy that it's to your liking. There's more to follow......
Thank you so much, everyone! I just found out this morning that the song took first prize in the Great Lakes Songwriting Contest! Whoo hoo! Please spread the word!
Great song! Thanks for bringing light and support to homelessness! The line 'and it sure ain't no place for a child to live' always brings me to tears. Best of luck to you in the future.
Great video, even greater song!!!!! You should be proud!

Beautiful song. I choked up a bit when the cop handed the baby doll back to the child.
