I’m from Edinburgh and lived in New York two years ago. There I came to realise just how much people fantasize about our little gem of a landscape, and the wonderful history we have here in the UK. I’m very sad to say that here in London (where I now live) the general ignorance and uncultured disregard for the other British nations is really disappointing. Brings me to the conclusion that sporting hatred for the English isn’t an inferiority complex, rather antipathy with good reason!

@MsOnlythebest im from the uk and we do go to other country's mainly the continent etc because its on our doorstep and in school. british folk are very well educated in other places and cultures. history's etc

i love backpacking through europe going up toward russia, so beautiful and also travelling from london right to the highlands of scotland

I live in Cumbria and there is nowhere more beautiful than the Lake District. It is truly world class scenery and has everything you could wish for. I spent a lot of time in Cyprus but it's nothing like the Lakes.

I have also seen much of the USA, I have visited at least 18 US states and yes there are many lovely places there too but also many many shitholes!!

Like I said you make your own shithole! and where I live in the UK is one of the most beautiful places in the world! if you dont like the UK and prefere somewhere else then do what all the other shithole makers do and run away!

I have lived in Devon, Cornwall, Somerset (Minehead) London, and Llangollen (Wales) and I currently own and live in a busy guest house (or small Hotel) in Cumbria overlooking Lake Windermere which appeared on TV several years ago which is why we bought it.

I was born in Crosby near Liverpool, and even Crosby was much nicer than many of the places I have seen in many other countries and believe me Ive travelled around quite a bit!

Like I say, you make your own shithole!
