In 1950 Methods and classification was adapted and transfer to Olympic Free Style to dominate in Olympics, and in 1960-1970 to Judo for same reason – Olympics. If BJJ be came part of Olympics, it would use identical “Training Methods” and “Technical classification” as Sambo and Judo.

“Training Methods” and “Technical classification” developed in USSR for Sambo not by Oschepkov, and almost identical for any kind wrestling specially for Judo, what was part of Sambo Federation in USSR till 1980th.

1. Oschepkov not sambo “founder”. It incorrect word to use. He “pioneer” yes. Founder – not.

2. Sambo is not “system”. Sport Sambo is “rules of wrestling engagement”. Combat Sambo is “full contact Fighting rules of engagement”.

3. There are methods of training and classification. But it never was refer as “system” or called as “System”, for it not correct terminology.

@NZSambo Sambo's throws and groundwork came from Judo/Aikido. Judo/Aikido were several forms of Japanese Ju-Jitsu that were dissassembled for there best moves. Performing in a Kata competition is incredibly difficult because your technique must be perfect. Kata Judo competitions are usually competed by older Judo players who are too old to compete in normal Judo competition. Aikido is for self defense only. A Sambo/Judo/BJJ guy would probaly kick their ass. But once again its for defense.

2. You say about sambo – is rubbish.

Most USSR nations (Georgia, Moldova, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Uzbeks, Kazahs etc. have own wrestling tradition older then Jujitsu) and it have no thing to do with Jujutsu. Same as Mongolian good at Sambo and free style and Judo, for there is Mongolian wrestling (what is more simpler to Sambo).

Same as Korean good at Judo and Free Style thanks to Ssierum.

biomechanical katas are wrong and not combat related.

It is developing wrong perception and develop incorrect skill, same as Aikido.

We use lot of drilling combination , and you may call it “kata”, but it is way deferent from bulshit one which promoted by kodokan etc.
