cowlark, why the interest in the Legion? It is a great religious order, but tainted with sinful humans & the harm of forced celibacy, which is mentioned by Jesus (Matt 19:12, 1Cor7:8) but not the norm (forced clerical celibacy is not in union with God’s Word (1Cor 9:5, 1Tim 3:2, 1Tim 4:3) & 39 popes had children, & some of their children became a pope, too. The church hierarchy must live the simple selfless serving message of Jesus (surrender your will to God's will) for others to see the way.

i personally know several legion members, and they do not live under such strict circumstances as suggested by the men coming forward in this news story. They have cells phones and use them frequently, without their superior's permission. The legions that I know are very good, holy, and devoutly Catholic men who are deeply disturbed by this recent scandal. The GOOD men who are Legion members deserve respect.

Mr Lennon was never involved with Regnum Christi schools and never wanted to be; he did found the School of Faith in Mexico City in 1975 and was quite successful until he disagreed with Fr. Maciel and then got the boot back to the Missions in Quintana Roo.

Paul Lennon was not "dismissed from the Legion" as you claim. That is calumny, the calumny the Legion crows so much about but does not practice. Mr. Lennon, me, left the Legion of my own volition after and altercation with Fr Maciel for hiding the numbers and destinations of those who leave the Legion, a secretive and deceitful organization, with or without Vatican approval. We all know how Maciel deceived the late Pope, having him embrace a pedophile in public.

by the way, G.... it isn't only Mr. Lennon, or members of Regain. I know of individuals who are not members of Regain, who were raised for all intensive purposes in the schools. I can imagine, you'd want to discount their stories as well, ... some of which go back years and began at tender young ages. These are people who are unfamiliar with one another or what anyone else endured, but whose stories are strikingly familiar. You might want to start listening and not be so quick to discount.
