  • Sandy harbutt you're a legend making one of the greatest cult movies of Australia."when you ride a bike. A big bike!"

  • I've really been waiting for a movie to be made about my life, and here it is.

  • Gotta love a bloke called "stinkfinger"!

  • No other motorcycle movie has a character such as "STONE" !!!

    Absolute cult!

  • great thing one my fav movies ;)

  • did he died?

  • This was a good movie for it's time and is still worth watching. How the crew made it

with the limited resources and obstacles they encountered making it,is a real credit to everyone involved. It's a pity the director didn't go on to make more movies he rightly deserved. But he was up against the fucken left wing government run film industry.

Nothing has changed here in Australia.

  • Masterpiece!

  • I have the soundtrack on vinyl, it just about worn out. Remember seeing it at the Drive inn in the early 80s, double feature with Mad Max

  • The best thing about thing about this trailer is the Lawsie voice over.

  • Vince Gil AKA The NightRider (MadMax 1979) also played in this one, together with the ToeCutter. Yep indeed the prequel of MadMax :P

Man how i would love to join theire Outlaw MC.

Grave Digger For Ever, For Ever Grave Digger !!!

  • The big blond haired guy was a neighbour of mine at Avalon. He played a heavy on TV shows in the seventies

  • This was on ABC last Saturday I recorded it on my PVR and watched it Sunday had a bit of a laugh and deleted it. I remember watching this as a young fella and loving it, what was I thinking "MAN" LOL.

  • Johns Law voiceover in this is just awesome. Check out the new Stone remake website, takethetripagain, there's a cool mood reel clip there

I found out about this from the Film Ink article, Taking Stone for a spin

  • does anyone have a link to download this, I used to own the original copy but now live in america, if anyone has it please hook us up, it's impossible to find here.

  • @ewanf Airing on ABC2 Saturday 7 August 2010 I think at 1010 pm.

  • my friend grandma is in this movie so is her pop her nana is a mole and her pop is a bikie

  • You think only Americans fought in Vietnam? FFS

  • Aussie Vietnam vets?

  • @MickeyLove01

The Aussies had a fairly large contingent in 'nam. As did South Korea, Thailand, The Philippines and a handful of other countries. It wasn't just the USA.

  • @MickeyLove01 Australia had a large force of regular forces plus a draft in Vietnam. They were pulled out in 1973, i think just over 500 lost their lives serving. I suggest you google Battle of Long Tan sir

  • @moatman45 I forgot that australia was americas bitch, my mistake

  • @MickeyLove01 Typical arrogant american reply from a cyber coward. Would you come out with such crap if you were not sitting at a computer?-i think not. And you people wonder why most of the world despises you. Just like canadians bristle if someone asks them what part of the states they are from. And while you are talking about wars- you lot haven't turned up on time for a real one yet.

  • @moatman45 Wrong chump. English through and through. And yes, I would say what I type to peoples faces. Now, check before you type more crap.

  • @MickeyLove01 Ouch! Thats right, the english are prepared to fight anyone- provided they get a little help from the rest of the world.

  • @moatman45 Hardly, we do our part and I know for a fact Australia & NZ do theirs too. I must admit though, I didn't realise there were Australian Vietnam vets. Gotta love Hugh Keays-Bryne though.

  • @MickeyLove01 Is thAt why the brits were so quick to follow America into Iraq and Afghanistan?

  • @lapalad It's more of a trade thing and of course if you need some extra muscle in the future, etc, etc..., I personally think americans are the dumbest race on earth.

  • @whatblah43 how did you see it?

  • goodshit!

  • please upload the Whole Movie

  • First video I ever watched and when it finished we watched The Evil dead. Was 7 at the time, this is when video shops just started appearing

  • classic line from this movie,

"The reason we're burying you standing up is so that you don't have to take anything from the evil one lying down."

  • great film

    watched it when i was 16 , 28 years ago , lol

  • boobs

  • THE TOE CUTTER IS THE FUCKIN MAN!!

  • I saw this movie when I was 14. It was rated "16+" and I was afraid they wouldn't let me in. Instead they asked my nephew to show his identity card. He was 2 years older than me but I was taller. When they found out he was actually 16, they let us both in ;-)

  • Stone: the father of Mad Max.

  • My mum is one of the mole's in the movie, thank god she didnt get her tits out, that would just be strange!

  • hahaha!

  • @patrout you tell your mum I think she should be Australian of the Year, sport!

  • @patrout Why would it be strange? You probably suckled at them.

  • @patrout who was your moms character

  • @patrout Yer Man Heavy ! Just think of your Kids seeing Nanna & the Grave Digger's ~ They will be popp'n Mono's in no time ! Chin up Man ! Not many can claim to be a "SONS OF ANARCHY" ! :)

  • @patrout You'd whack off to it mate, you know you would.

  • Amazing stunt at the end of this trailer. In the book Defying Gravity, the Dale Buggins story, the author quotes Richard Kuiper, the film maker: "Peter Armstrong did the stunt. It was off The Gap (Sydney, NSW). He passed out in the water and was black and blue all over. Its definitely the greatest stunt ever filmed in Australian cinema, and probably one of the best in movie history. Sadly Peter died a few years ago."

  • @F1dude71 Interesting point about the stunt. I always thought it was Grant Page. He was Australia's leading stunt man at the time, and did do a lot of stunts in the movie. Whilst i don't doubt you, it was probably like the chase scene in Bullitt- about 6 people are credited with that.

  • @moatman45 Only 3 drivers did the stunts for "bullit"....Steve Mcqueen,Bud Ekins(the mustang)....and Bill Hickman drove the Charger(the bloke with the glasses)

  • I saw this when it came out. It was a bit rough but I was 17 and I LOVED motorcycles. It looks a bit goofy now but that's what 35 years of hindsight does. Nortons, yeah!

  • For Australians there's a 2 disc special edition that's RRP is $40!

  • Just add psychedelic drugs and you've got the recipe for a real groovy time... or maybe permanent bain dramage...

  • This is available now from Severin Films at Film Fiends.

  • shit

  • anyone got it on dvd

  • It is available on DVD... I got it at JB-HIFI for my old man for christmas.

  • yep ask JB HIFI thats where i got mine from

  • uptheras: yep ,its outthere! it's fkn awsome! one of the best aussie movies made in my opinion

  • this is a alltime australian classic of all time corny a bit lol love it first saw it i was 5 years old loved it then and all the z 900 z 1000 kawasakis the best

  • the toe cutter he knows who iam,

  • love this movie

    favourite character toad

  • You gotta love the voice over by Lawsie.

  • I remember watching this movie by myself in the dark and I was just a kid... I think the decapitation scene at the start put me off sleeping for a week. Good movie though.

  • The ending was great when he was saying how nice the fella's were and they came back and beat the crap out of him.

  • Did STONE then continue onto MAD MAX?

  • No. Totally different universes.

  • Pure bikes-ploitation.

  • this is actually based on a true story.

  • The funeral sequence filmed that was Filmed on the F3 was very well done.

  • Stone is different, take the dip!!!

  • I love the end scene of this when he gets beat up. ooops sorry..
