  • i love this the india sceene shows how it keeps up until hell bound keeps changing hands how in the first frank is in india to buy it they shoulda kept it in with the other flash backs

  • See, if I were Joey, I'd be like, 'Yeah, yeah, your evil self wants to take over the world...blah, blah...take off your clothes now!' Ghost or not... :) On a semi-related note, wasn't there a love scene between these two in one of the very early draft scripts?

  • Doug Bradley very good actor. i met him at a film convention really nice guy

  • @dmc41987 Yeah, everyone I've heard who's met him says he's a lovely man. I hope to meet him myself one day!

  • so so gorgeous, doug bradley is amazing x

  • so so gorgeous, doug bradley is amazing! x

  • @jennababesuk Too right he is, and he's also a genuinely nice guy in real life, too, always happy to chat with his fans :)

  • Is that the chick who played Dax in Deep Space nine? Sounds like her....

  • @Izziepalooza28 yeah that's her. it's in her filmography

  • Damn! Pinhead is hot when he takes off his makeup!

  • @Lauranna Too right he is. I still have a major crush on Mr. Bradley.

  • good i love doug Bradley's voice thanks for posting this!

  • @AdmiralZhao You're welcome :)

  • @AdmiralZhao True true! And why do I find Doug's delivery of the line "The war pulled poetry out of some of us" INCREDIBLY SEXY !?!! *fans self*

  • GAWD, Elliott and Pinhead are gorgeous!

  • this is the only good scene in the movie

  • @tSpawnt By and large, yeah. It's not the greatest of cinematic feats, but it has several memorable themes and quotes.

  • They cut out the India scene in the theatrical version, didn't they? I hadn't seen it before.

  • @kurukururock From several comments, I'm guessing they did (at least in the US, anyway, I'm not sure about the UK as I did not see this in the cinema). Why they did so is another matter. Timing, maybe? If it was for any kind of content-related reasons, I can only hazard a guess that perhaps the clear anti-war sentiment in that scene fared badly with test audiences. People can be funny like that.

  • @leda1974 Will you upload when Joey explores the boiler room and sees that band playing?

  • @MrJeffreymetal91 I don't have the full movie on my hard drive any more, unfortunately. This clip was mainly a little diversion because I have a huge crush on Doug Bradley :)

  • @kurukururock

    Yes, I noticed this too.

  • Wow if i where he well i wouldn't care if he was standing right in front of me and was about to hear what i was about to say right away i'd take a good look at him then say

    "Damn.." XDXDXD

lol Elliot looks so fine in that uniform! :D

    but Pinhead Looks Fine-ER! hahaha

  • @MileyHellraiser Elliot is gorgeous!!

  • @sharona1981 i know!! lol

after i saw this video i couldn't stop thinking about him! lol he's hot lol

  • "He can be very persuasive-and very inventive."

Is it wrong that I'd like to find out, lol?

  • Doug Bradley, raWR. You look smokin' in that uniform. Then again, he looks smokin' as Pinhead too.

  • @ScarredEclipse Glad I'm not the only one with a Cenobite fetish but, then again, they are ALL about the BDSM...

  • @ScarredEclipse Very true-I've never been so attracted to a man in uniform in my life, lol.

  • I can't stop watching this-I've always had a thing for men in uniform, but when it's Doug... :)

  • Lady Ramkin was right about one thing, too...Captain is such a dashing title.

  • @leda1974 VERY true,lol.

  • Doug Bradley is so very handsome-and such a nice man as well.

  • He is! I have not been lucky enough to meet him in person, but I have heard from those who have and nobody has a bad word to say about him :)

  • I was lucky enough to meet him at a convention in the UK about 4 years ago. He was an absolute gent, so friendly and sweet. And even more handsome in the flesh, believe me. :)

  • Okay, I just heard the word "flesh" inside my head in Pinhead's voice.....woohoo :D

  • It's so funny...I had been chatting to Doug for a few minutes, and just before I left, I told him that he was so nice in the flesh, and he gave me this look full of amusement, and I realised what I'd said, and I said, I should have phrased that differently, and he just laughed! :) Such a sweetheart.

  • Jealous! Oooh, I have met Clive Barker, though. I fibbed my way into the West End premiere of "Nightbreed" in 1990 (I was only 16 at the time, tee hee) and spoke to him after the screening. He was polite, friendly and completely unflappable in the face of my awed fangirl-burbling.

  • Ok now I'M jealous-I'm a huge admirer of Clive's work, both his novels and his films. And I love his voice. Such a distinct talent. :)

  • THIS is the scene i longed for..doug bradley? i have to see an interview now.how long has he been in the biz?oh by the way if your a pinhead fan you may like my face......

  • "Hellraiser" was actually his first major role; before this he'd taken roles in "Salome" and "The Forbidden", both rather obscure Clive Barker projects (he and Barker have known one another since college).

  • thank you very much for sharing that.i like when "pinhead" goes back to the captain.when i see pics of me before piercngs i often have moments,im just not the same man i was.ill have to look into those other movies.if you know they are on here i insist you foward me a link.

  • Have done :) Check your Inbox.

  • oh okay thanx

  • how old is the capt any way

  • We're not sure, to be honest. Doug Bradley was 37 when he filmed this role, but given that actors tend to play a little younger than their years, I'm going to guess that Captain Spenser is supposed to be somewhere around 34?

  • He does look sexy in that uniform... though Pinhead was always sexy anyway. :)

  • Pinhead, was sexy, really?! Is that some kind of sick joke?

  • You'd be surprised at the amount of Pinhead love floating around on the internet. Well, we all know the ladies like a bad boy, and they don't come much badder...

  • @leda1974 Pinhead is hot XD

  • @Esuniwaya LOl ur so right! XD

Elliot looks hot but Pinhead is just SEXY! simple as that! lol

  • Hell yeah. Most people wouldn't know that was Pinhead in the uniform. He's an excellent actor.

  • I never realized that pinhead cant take the box. it must be given to him

  • ah he seems nice!!:)

  • is he an american marine from the world war II era or a british soldier?

  • This is a dream sequence from World War One. As to the Captain's nationality.......well, I'd have thought his accent would have been a small clue :P

  • Er, obviously British! The accent is a bit of a giveaway....

  • He was a Brit in World war one.

  • She was like, NIGGAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!

  • @YankeeLexi HAHAHAHAHA! XD

    ur right hahaha

  • She was probably thinking, Greeeeat... theres a gateway to hell in my apartment. The insurance company is never going to believe this... lol.

  • Doesn't Pinhead have some sorta power that allows him to control people? Why doesn't he just make someone give him the box, saves a load of trouble.

    I'm new to this movie.

  • He's able to control people once he's turned them into cenobites, that's about it.

  • Oh, ok. That clears up a bit of it.

  • Also, there's a lot of Judeo-Christian mythology based around the idea that evil can only triumph if it is allowed to do so through human free will. It's all about choice. Vampires, too, are reputed to have no power to enter a dwelling unless they are invited in.

  • @LeadCeno So if i told he he looked gay then he'd make me slap myself if he didn't wanna kill me O_O

    XD

  • surprising to see what elliot was before and then after if i remember correctly there is a scene where elliot is facing himself (Pinhead) i don't remember if it was in this movie or not but i imagine so 3 and 4 showed elliot spenser

  • That's the ending of Hellraiser III. Pinhead gets into Joey's dream about her father in the war in order to trick her into giving up the box. This backfires on Pinhead, as dreams are Elliot's domain, and allows him to pull Joey and Pinhead into the quinset hut where he first became Pinhead.

  • @LeadCeno Lol PInhead copied Freddy! :O

  • where exactly in 4 do you see eliotte:)

  • He isn't in 4, only 2 and 3.

  • You don't have to be rude about it.

  • i don't see how this is being rude.... being rude would be there calling you an idiot or trying to flame you.

  • Starting the sentence with "no shit Einstein" isn't rude? You did call me Einstein in a sarcastic tone.

  • then you get offended too easily:)

  • Or maybe you're just a dumbass, like your name says.

  • sorry but i don't really care what you say lol. unlike you that will cry and get all mad about it, i just simply laugh it off:P

  • It's better than any love-potion; or aphrodisiac. You MUST make sure this girl is pure (for the funky, cold medina). My name is Par-Too; it starts with a P; it ends with a T.

  • For a movie that's often branded the mindless slasher flick of the series, they gave Pinhead a pretty intelligent origin that sticks to the mythology of the series.

  • Where'd the shot of them in India come from?

  • Not sure what you're asking, Wild - it's just a component part of that scene from the movie. It looks as if it was made on a movie set; it probably wasn't really filmed in India.

  • I mean that in the copy/version of Hellraiser III that i have that India scene isnt there. Its a shot of Elliot first opening the Lament Configuration.

  • That's very peculiar, then. I can't think why they'd cut it out, unless someone took exception to the anti-war sentiment in the dialogue? Regardless, what you're seeing here is the through-the-window scene as nature intended :)

  • Although it has had the whole HR2 flashback sequence taken out.

The India scene and several others were removed from the initial home video releases, despite being fairly innocuous.

  • "What is your pleasure Sir?"

"Take It - Its Yours - It Always Was"

  • Yeah, the India scene isn't in my copy of the film either -- VHS or DVD. This must be the foreign edition because it's definitely not in the American version.

  • Are either of you copies unrated? Because this scene only appears in unrated editions to my knowledge. The only two unrated versions I know of is a US vhs release from years ago and the Anchor Bay Lament Configuration box set, which isn't available in the US.

  • I have the non-Anchor Bay edition of the DVD. From what I understand, Anchor Bay doesn't have the copyright to release HR3 in Region 1 for some odd reason, yet they can overseas. You have no idea how jealous I am about the Region 2 Lament Configuration box set; unfortunately, we don't have that here! Your box set also has more special features than we do. HR3 DVD is very bare bones; it's has no documentary or a commentary.

  • I live in the US, and the Lament Configuration box set wasn't released here.

  • You know, the HR3 DVD I have said it was a special edition and there's nothing on it. So...I take it I should have a duel player DVD in order to get the HR3 commentary and extra footage?

  • A duel player dvd? I have no idea lol.. What's it say on the dvd case.. like who is the distributor? And what special features does it say it has?

  • Or you could just unlock your existing one.

  • I'll try.

  • Good luck :) If you have problems locating the code, send me a private message with the make and model number of your DVD player and I'll try to track it down for you.

  • God fell at flanders: what poignent statement.

  • Doug Bradley isn't nearly as good at playing Spencer as he is at playing Pinhead.

The scene in Hellraiser II where Pinhead reverted to Spencer before Channard killed him was my favourite in the series. I think Spencer actually reclaimed his humanity then BEFORE he died, which is why his ghost is free and the immortal demon acts on its own.

  • I have a question I thought Captain Elliot Spencer was Hellraiser. I thought he opened the box and became Pinhead from there on, why doesn't he just tell himself and destroy himself?

  • The Pinhead in this movie is Elliott's evil embodied. He's a separate entity now.

  • You mean it's Elliot's evil side that became Hellraiser, his good side became a ghost.

  • Yeah.. except he's not called Hellraiser, he's called Pinhead. Hellraiser isn't a character's name.

  • Then why are the movies called Hellraiser, I thought the films were about him

  • Actually, the films were meant to be about Julia. She was going to be the BIG MONSTER, but the fans latched on to Pinhead instead of Julia. (Also, it was originally called the "Hellbound Heart"; the executives wanted the name changed to "Hellraiser", not Clive Barker...

  • I dunno if it was necessarily Clive's plan to make the entire series about Julia, since he didn't write or direct Hellbound. To me, basically, Hellraiser is anything that takes place within that universe and involves the box and the cenobites in some way, and follows the general themes.

  • Well, the original ending of "Hellbound" was Julia coming out as QUEEN of Hell/Labyrinth; that was Clive Barker's and Tony Randel's intention. (And, no, I don't believe it was Barker's intention for an entire franchise; he simply wanted to make a movie of his work that was good and scary.) Instead, we have the Pillar of Souls due to the popularity of Pinhead. But, yes, I agree that anything "Hellraiser" envolves the box (any the boxes really), the cenobites, and the mythos. :D

  • for some reason they remind me of professor x and jean grey

  • Elliot is a ghost I know but Pinhead is still Elliot. some of you say Pinhead is far worse but that is what becomes of you while you spend so much time in hell. nice to know elliot looked back on his past and repented.

  • GASP! New scene! Never seen that scene, although it's in the script. I love how direct Elliott is about his deviant past.

  • I love Elliott! Yes, he looks gorgeous!

  • He does, doesn't he? *swoons* I was lukewarm on the movie itself...but Doug in that uniform? Woof!

  • Elliott is my favourite character in "Hellraiser" -- how can I resist Doug in uniform?! Yes, the film wasn't great, but I did enjoy it -- primarily because it's a film about my favourite character. However, I didn't really like Joey; I wanted Kirsty, in fact HR3 was originally written for Kirsty, but Ashley Laurence couldn't make it. :(

  • your an expert in this movie. ask me a few confusing questions. 1. how exactly did he die, and what made him turn to pinhead, and also, in the end of number 2 he tries becoming good than turns to evil once again, and 3, he is there trying to destroy the box, yet i saw the ending to number 3 where he returns there as well. may you answer them plz? thx.

  • Well, understand that the films have been passed to hand and hand. If Clive Barker did the entire franchise, it would have turned out different, but I'll answer this the best I can: Elliott never really "died" in a true since as Pinhead. According to the comics, Elliott was selected to be a host of one of the spiritial, parasitic Leviathan's children, Xipe Totec (best-known as the Aztec God of Life-Death-Rebirth), as a result became Pinhead. (cont.)

  • In HR2, Channard removed Xipe Totec, thus became only Elliott. Channard killed the Elliott (who, at heart, is a good man that did some "evil" things) and his soul went to Limbo. His body, however, was left to Xipe Totec. Without Elliott (whose Pinhead's conscious of a sorts), Xipe Totec (aka: Unbound Pinhead) went on a rampage! Xipe doesn't want to sent back to Hell; he wants to retain his freedom, thus destory the Box. This is a stupid idea actually. (cont.)

  • The Box is one of HUNDREDS of windows to Hell. It could have been that Xipe wants to destory ALL the windows, destroying the Lament Confirguation was only the first in a bigger game. The only way to stop Xipe is to trick him to come to Limbo and that Elliott's soul that to merge back into Xipe Totec (creating Pinhead we know and love). (cont.)

  • By the end of HR3, Xipe Totec and Elliott are battling for the possession of the body; they eventually resolve this -- this is probably why Pinhead seems different in the sequels than he was in the first two films. ;) (end.)
