Carlton had just as many KEY personnel out, and OUR full back, MICHAEL JAMIESON, is the BEST full back now in the AFL, and JARRED WAITE is one of our best as well, you can also add Bower, Hampson, Russell, Joseph, O'Halpern, Houlihan and Carazzo who are ALL out injured as well . Next year Carlton will be challenging for the premiership.

Carlton may have had their worst team for the year but Carlton haven't been injury struck much this year so by that standard, their worst team isn't hard to achieve. Essendon have been struggling with injuries all season and that night they played with their worst team for the year! Essendon seriously don't get enough credit seeing they are so young.

They only had 1 of there core starting 6 defenders on the field that night (not including Hurley coz he played forward), they were missing their BEST 3 midfielders (Watson, Hocking, Lonergan), and there two quickest runners. Take Judd, Murphy and Gibbs out of Carlton and verse Essendon with a full side and the score from that game would be completely reversed.
