Jesus!!! Beckham should have won it there.The problem is that he can only use his right foot.He puts too much emphasis on it.After he tricked the defender he should have put it to his left foot so he could have bent it into the far post with that.But he cannot kick ith his left foot.That's too bad in modern soccer where ou have to be good with both feet.

For that alone it can be a plus but he shoots only with the inside of his right foot and cannot use his left foot at all.All he can do is long passes and sometimes free kicks.He is not a versatile player, never was and with his abilities he is too overrated, which makes me angry, that's all.

He isn't good just because he uses the inside of his right foot , long pass and free kicks . It was HIS pass and HIS freekicks that mostly led to a goal , a goal is important in a game , so it was HE who threaded beautiful passes together and create scoring opportunities for his teammates . He is worth the money .

I must say the officiating was suspect all night for both sides. Beckham flopped when no one was around him than the so called hard tackle on Rogers when it was clearly a good tackle. But it was very entertaining and be a Crew fan am glad with the result! Just wish ESPN would show MLS highlites on Sportscenter.

if u know football u only get a red card if ur denying a goal scoring oppurtunity, from the position that player was in he wasnt on route to goal or anything.

as for the match, defensively, the MLS is appaling, the goalkeepers are worse than Britains bottom league, too many parries costing games, it is exciting to watch tho with high scoring games like this, another 3 goal game for the galaxy, come on becks and crew!!

If you ask me, there is a great chance of the Galaxy winning the MLS Cup. Think about it, they tied with the second-best team in MLS, and their attack is incredibly powerful. Still, the team could get a few better defenders and a good goalkeeper in next year's draft. Then they'd be unstoppable. They could even match Premier League standards.

Well, if some MLS teams want to be considered that high, they first have to defeat Mexican teams. Then, they have to enter Copa Libertadores, that's where all the high ranked European clubs get their players from. They have to defeat Argentinian and Brazilian teams. These teams behave like national teams, it's not even funny. I mean, Houston Dynamo couldn't take on the CR Champion, because they couldn't take the pressure. I can only imagine how they're going to do against the South Americans.

I'm not hating on the MLS league or anything. I like it a lot. I just think that the Bosses should do something to get into best tournament in South America. They have the money, if our teams enter such tournament, even if at the start they lose, the level of our football will increase by a lot. South Americans want the money. I know that Hispanics will fill our stadiums, if Boca Jrs from Arg or Sao Paolo from Br come to LA to play. They'll take the money, we take the level of experience.

i've had direct kick the past few years and go to dc united games when i'm back home in dc, but i think i'm going to take a break from mls for a while--it's become a beckham freakshow. i just read an article recapping this game on mlsnet where they talk about xavier penalty on rogers being "questionable" (actually that would be called 80% of the time anywhere in the world) but it says that beckham was tripped. lol.
