i know, the intro is a little wordy. i cringe when i watch it, but then i realize that when i watch videos by other people, i often wish they had explained themselves a little better in the beginning, because it would help me to appreciate the rest of the video better..

first, the wood is sanded smooth LOL

second, i play with a slide, so my left hand hardly even touches the wood. there's just enough pressure to keep the slide against the strings, not to press them all the way down to the wood
