VTM's universe is perfect for vampires. A world of pain, hard choices, and the only moment of pleasure Kindred get is when they feed...amazing. In VTM, you are there, you feel what your Kindred character feels, it's just sensational. This is the true world of vampires, not that shiny vampire wannabes from Twilight. Probably the worst flaw in Twilight was the ability to live in sunlight given to the "vampires".

Not sure why some are confused by the name of the club: "The Asp Hole" is clearly a satire of "The Viper Room" and Ash Rivers is a fictional version of River Phoenix turned into a vampire instead of dying in the street. I thought it added a genuine touch of poignancy.
I know Ash was a whiner, but he was one of my favorite characters in the game. I felt sorry for him and the fact that he was forced into a life that he didn't want, a melancholy existence. This song was perfectly suited to his club, too. :] Of course, I love this entire game, it has to be the most atmospheric, immersive games I've ever played. VTMB forever :]

Have to disagree, Swamped was a perfect song to end on, and this one is easily the most overtly melodramatic of the whole game. However, It was absolutely perfect for the Toreador "poor me I'm immortal" part of the game though. Been wondering what the name of the song and performing artist is though.

@METALGEARSOL1D It's It emphasises the storyline and lets the player feel more in touch with the character. Suddenly you realize you’re more than just human and can do all those things. Same with the sound and colur choice. :)

I only got to finish the level by saying "I'm a badass vampire, this is MY territory. These are MY shadows and my creepy haunt, fuck this ghost, who does he think he is standing up to me?"

I play Vampire Masquerade with the original pen and paper game. That is the best vampire game ever, but the video game is fantastic too. I'm a DM and my players are: A brujah, strong, young and he thinks that he s a good detective (he is not), A toreador girl who hates to be a vampire, a Tremere teacher (he likes chemistry the best) And another brujah ( a girl) who have great powers but she is shy and she thinks that she is condemned.
@Beatrixel Nothing. After 3.0, all the bugs were fixed, and they just added minor impovements eg, replacing the "Kill-tek Laser-matic" Smg (which was STUPID), with a proper Uzi. The also added a sniper rifle, improved a couple bits of dialog etc. And the fixed EVERY bug. So 7.0 is fine.
best RPG i have ever played... Dammit though i can't get it to play now although i have the patch 1.2 crap..... i want to play again!!! Anyway ,awesome song, Gangrels ftw, and malkavians!!!! Valve - Sold the the rights to develop the alternative game engine using their own Source engine at the time.
Troika had the development rights for the title itself and held the rights to the tools they developed to make the game but that was tied to the Source engine mentioned above.
Lastly Whitewolf (Now owned by CCP) has control over the IP rights.
Best game I ever played...ever!! and it will stay that way, because no one has or will ever even come close to creating a game anything like this again, it was a masterpiece, bugs and all!!
wow, whats with all the people talking crap about half-life 2. i own both of these games and theyre both great, just different genres. they both have amazing gameplay, voice acting, atmosphere, and replayability (especially hl2 with mods). just chill out people its okay to like bloodlines over hl2 but that doesnt mean it sucks,

The dialogue is a work of art, genius in fact XD I find myself cracking up at nearly every line.
But my favourite thing by far is the atmosphere, it was intense and on some levels I really found myself moving slowly in case something freaky happened.

Good thing they fixed many of those bugs with patches :), I also finished the game at the period when it did not have the patches out and still absolutely loved it, it stands amongst my golden league games.
@ClockworkMask It was joyful, lemme recomend you the "Camarilla Edition Mod" or the "Quest Clan Mod" they both improve the game. The Camarilla Edition tweak the mechanics and disciplines, makin' them more neard the ones on the pen & paper roleplay, also, make your bloodpool drain slowly, so you need to feed more in a night (instead of feedin' like 1 time every 3 days)
@ClockworkMask I just finished it with a Toreador(I had started the game with a Ventrue but after some bugs and patches I had to start from the beginning again so I made a new character)and I still don't feel bored of the game!This whole feeling of an "underground" culture,the similarities to Underworld,Blade,Matrix and classic horror movies as well as the typical Role-Playing Game elements make this an amazing game with high replayability! :P

@ClockworkMask What really makes it work for me is that the game really has that dark, goth atmosphere but at the same, it's filled to the brim with humor and enthusiasm (which is really what Goth is all about, despite what people who have no idea what they're talking about claim). was also amazed at how solid the plot was for a video game. You can tell the guys at Troika really put a lot of effort into it. Its not just an excuse for gunfights.
You help him through the sewers and then find him in the Monastery later; but I wasn't able to save him so I dunno what his ultimate fate was.... for me it was death by cave-in :P

I remember the first time I enter into that club, I was bored as fuck after a longplay of almost 8 hours, I was almost about to quit and have some sleep, suddenly lacuna coil in the backgroud, I was like "whoa" and decided to hear the whole song so I just leave my character there and press E to watch her dance just for fun, after that song I was ready to quit and suddenly MOTHERFUCKING TIAMAT I was on shock and then BANG! 1 point of humanity haha, best game experience ever.
This game never got the publicity it deserved. It was a triumph and extremely unique. A shame that the company disbanded. I would have enjoyed a third installment. Thanks for the upload however.

Damn right, ClockworkMask. The universe and the backstory in this game is huge and sucks you in, it's incredible.
And yeah, the dialogues are some of the best I've seen in any game. Those you get if you play as a Malkavian are a constant crowning moment of funny.

Its easy to save ash if you clear the cave and poke around, found the keys for his cage and let him go. i dont think he died...maybe though

I always though this song sounded cool with the way Ash was talking, went along with how depressed he seemed.
Mind you I never understood why he was depressed, being a good looking movie star / club owner / vampire sounds like a dream come true lol!

You help him through the sewers and then find him in the Monastery later; but I wasn't able to save him so I dunno what his ultimate fate was.... for me it was death by cave-in :P

I remember the first time I enter into that club, I was bored as fuck after a longplay of almost 8 hours, I was almost about to quit and have some sleep, suddenly lacuna coil in the backgroud, I was like "whoa" and decided to hear the whole song so I just leave my character there and press E to watch her dance just for fun, after that song I was ready to quit and suddenly MOTHERFUCKING TIAMAT I was on shock and then BANG! 1 point of humanity haha, best game experience ever.

This game never got the publicity it deserved. It was a triumph and extremely unique. A shame that the company disbanded. I would have enjoyed a third installment. Thanks for the upload however.
