  • molly , no matter what , we always loves you

  • It's for the people that live.

  • Money has traditionally been a motivating factor for crime, including murder. The fact is people have been killed by family, friends and associates for life insurance. It's often the people you least suspect. Money changes people.

  • i agree. life insurance is trully necessary for all families but it is very important to know what exactly it is that it covers and if the beneficiaries will really get ALL the money promised by the agent. Agents lie. Read the policies!

  • @y7e4s9 You spit gibberish quite well.

  • Everyone should have life insurance, it's not a joke.

  • wow JTD19881369

You need to realize that your comment has no meaning. The reason you need life insurance is to simply protect your Human Economic Life Value... So that if you happen to die, your family will have money to live on.

  • I'm sorry to point this out, but there is a lot more to it. Quite a few people use it for retirement too. There is actually so much you can do.

  • I hope that you are not an agent, Using the word "retirement" Cash Value, Whole Life, or Permanent Life to a client is a big no no. As for me, I would never buy a cash value policy, as they are horrible savings vehicles. Even if they build their full value, and you live to see the cash value endow-it would still be inadequate for retirement.

  • The type of life insurance that is right for one person may not be right for another. It all depends on your unique financial goals and circumstances. At the LIFE Foundation, were product neutral and dont favor one product over another. However, we think it would be a mistake to rule out an entire category of life insurance. Our best advice is to do some homework prior to making a purchase. Its an important decision, so you want it to be a highly informed one.

  • Unless your insurance is with aig?

    lol

  • Luckily that's incorrect. Anyone with an insurance policy or annuity with AIG should have nothing to worry about. Insurance is a highly regulated industry. All insurance companies doing business in the United States are regulated by state law and required to maintain enough capital and surplus to satisfy their obligations to their policy holders. You may want to read the LIFE Foundation blog and the latest entry on the subject.

  • Pardon my statement there-but that was more of a joke. My concern with aig is more on 2 different realms 1) what it's affect is having on the economy and all the investments of those who "live on" and the fact that the government bail out means that technically the company has a new government majority owner taking us down an unconstitutional road of socialism with the government being the true owner of an American Company.

  • She seems like a really, seriously great person. So sh@tty she lost family memmbers so early on.

  • um ... so .... what if i dont want life insurance ... i mean .. why give my wife a reason to kill me ?? ... ya know what i mean ...

  • You're funny, paranoid, or are in need of marriage counseling! Seriously, you remind me of an insurance concept known as "insurable interest." Laws were enacted in the 19th century to ensure that life insurance is used by those with a relationship to the insured, such as a family member or business partner. They keep us from getting policies out on strangers for the reason you raise. The principle doesn't apply here. Get life insurance to protect your family. Learn more @ the lifehappens website

  • haha .. naw man .. im 19 and not married .. just being funny .. dont have a family .. and when i die i will be wrapped in cloth and dropped in a hole ... not much to pay for there ...

  • Still, I am having you commited.

I hadn't read this before and now, guess what?

    It's too late.

  • are you sure about that law? Because wall street is now buying insurance policies from people, packaging them into securities and selling them to investors (yes, just like they did with mortgages). wall street calls it life settlement. So now the situation is that when the original policy holder dies, the payout goes to the holder of the security. That result would be a violation of the law you quoted. So is wall street doing something criminal (again), or what?

  • Dude...

Money is worth more than life to you???

I am personally having you commited.

Shh, no. No. I filled out the forms already. It's gonna happen. Yer off to Happy Farm.

  • @JTD19881369 You might have married the wrong woman..but it will cost about 10k to bury you and the loss of your income can make paying the mortgage pretty hard. How long would you like your wife, OR YOUR CHILDREN, to be taken care of after you die???

  • @JTD19881369

I have heard plenty of crime stories about spouses being killed for insurance money, and the one common factor is thats always done by people who are extremely stupid and would most likely waste that money going to court. If your wife isnt stupid, she won't kill you. Ever.

  • awesome! insuring my ability to provide for my family is more important than insuring say my car or home! i choose not to die but if that ever happens i want to make sure that my kids won't be regretful and ask stupid questions like, why didn't my dad care enough to get life insurance?

do the right thing for your family! make sure you purchase term! (i have a primerica life insurance policy)

  • Molly gets to the heart of it, speaking for her own real-life experiences.

I can appreciate her honesty amd feel for the tragedy she experienced.

She certainly sends the point home about how important it is to protect your family's future with life insurance.

  • A previous comment was accidentally removed. The question was: "Does Life Insurance Awareness Month really exist?"

It does in fact exist. Coordinated by the nonprofit LIFE Foundation every September, Life Insurance Awareness Month (LIAM) is an industry wide event where hundreds of insurance companies and trade groups come together to get people thinking about their financial futures and protecting their loved ones.
