Hi. That's pretty cool that you can watch live tv now. I tried googling the name of the application and nothing came up. I was wondering if you can give me a website where I could download it. And are you saying that the only fees for this app are those to have it licensed? If so, how much does it cost?
Yes. We can stream live video by dynamically transcoding from the ip address of that video (doesn't really matter what input format it is in) into mobile video and audio formats that will run on (among other handsets) on the BOLD. The application we have for this is called MLSS or Multifeed.
I have the bold and love it. Will this program work for viewing/streaming a motion jpeg image? I have an axis network camera set up in my house and want to be able to watch what's going on at home from my BB.
Just ignore the debug messages. In fact what is also happenning is that the player is running a video in the background to determine your appropriate initial connection speed.
The first time you use the player you will then automatically be prompted for a username/pw & your age. Then you will have to select device. If the BOLD/9000 is not listed, select "Curve" for it.
We now get 300Mbytes/month for $30, and there are unlimited data plans elsewhere. 90 minutes of video using the encoding rates we use for mobile works out to about 45Mbytes of data.
I heard that the PIN was blocked by RIM. Can you use the email/internet now (9-9-2008)? Anyone knows? How about ATT 3g? I'm planning on getting it on eBay. Thanks.
No. It can't play flash. No handsets really play flash video. The ones that On2 claim are playing flash are actually playing H263 in the native player,
flv is an encapsulating format which can be used to encapsulate H263 video which is different from On2 codec versions used on the wired Internet. Do you know what digital video format your flash lite 3.0 is supporting on the Nokia E90? If the flash video is using the embedded player it is not the same as On2 encoding on the web...it's probably H263.
I have also just read that the iphone 3g does not support flash video streaming. We have video streaming to the iphone and ipod touch in H246 for both live and archived video. One of my video listed here demos that.

Hi,
Sorry, 3gp is the mpeg4 video that can be played by the the embedded media player on the BlackBerry. 3G is of course the the high-speed data service.
Competely delete the install you have made by going to Options=>Applications and delete it. Then turn the handset off completely, .
When you have downloaded the player, you might want to check all the "Permissions" for the application.
When you initially setup the player, select "Curve" as the type of handset you are using.

I still receive the same error when 3G is turned off with WIFI on, and connected to my router at home.
I've definitely downloaded the correct version of the software
Was your reference to "3gp" a spelling mistake?? If its not, then i'm not sure what 3gp is or how to turn it on

I can't get this to work on my bold. I get a java.lang.ClassCastException error every time i choose the Go Online link
DannersAU 2 years ago
this is just a connection issue re: 3g or wifi
turn 3gp and wifi on and try again
make sure you have downloaded and installed the wifi client version
once you get connected, try it again, but turn off 3g if you have wifi so you just connect through wifi
I have the same issue too...it's related to the BB reintializing 3g/sim connections I think

Hi,
You also asked about extra fees. Well, Multifeed is an application that must be licensed.

Presumably this doesn't cost anything if you're connected to Wifi rather than mobile network?
blah1984blah1984 2 years ago
Yes. If you use wifi you can even remove the sim chip from the BOLD and the video streaming applicatons will work.

mskrebs 3 years ago
so the blackberry bold has mobile tv?
Devilstormer 3 years ago
We'll be adding ip-based interactive chat to the live streaming which will also be carrier independent.

no it can't
then again I'm not sure if the iphone 3g is really playing flash (On2 codec video) or mpeg4 or H264 encapsulated in flv format
