I was just looking at this phone today, and since all I've ever had was a "basic" cell phone... I was over overwhelmed with everything it offered. However, I still like it. After seeing this video... it give me hope! :) ... that old folks with bad eyes and big fingers ... can still get into the "up to date" technology.

their will be a firm update sometime in 2010 for a Flash update and the browser is magnificent and faster then the iphone but then again I was in the 3g area while the iphone has horrible service.

So far the iphone's speed and scrolling in the browser is still the best. Despite all those updated processors they still can't optimize the software so it still lags.

What use is a snapdragon if its limited by the battery life and has to be underclocked and not much optimization can be done.

Apple made the OS so they know what to optimize and the hardware for it is perfect.

The video recording on the iphone captures at 30fps. Very good. And the nano 5g can achieve that too despite its size.

Device and packaging look like they were just left over from the 80s. 8) Boot screen and default(?) desktop w. horrible aesthetics as well.

I like the "back door". Seems one can swap batteries conveniently on the road. That's a bit awkward with the G1.

this phone looks really laggy. my storm just got updated to 5.0 software update and it doesnt lag at all anymore but this phone seriously looks like it lags really bad.

WTF are you talking about? The only lag I saw was in the browser and it wasn't even that bad. Any lag it does have will likely get fixed with an update like your storm anyway.

Compared to iPhone, you can call it a lag, watch the movement, the reaction os the shell etc. I wonder why they cant make a phone as smooth and snappy as iPhone, although it has a less powerful hardware than Droid, HD2 etc

Having played with the droid there is some slow or jerkiness. Like I said, it's mainly in the browser and the notification panel seems to freeze for about a second when you bring it down but the phone is overall responsive and quite usable. I think these could be fixed in a software update. The iphone has the same processor as the droid, in fact it runs 50mhz faster; remember also that the droid's screen is much higher resolution.

Because Apple makes their own hardware and software and they can get things just right with the sensor on the phone that makes it move smoothly like that.

I still prefer the Droid. It scrolls good and it's powerful.

Apple doesn't make their hardware, they get the parts from the same manufacturers as everyone else. They only make the design.

And the Droid DOES smooth as fluid as iPhone. Except Android decided to make the screen move faster than slower and not have that bounce effect at the end of the screen.

That's why iPhone looks more fluid than any other phone.

Pocketable? The Droid is a little heavier than my iPhone but otherwise it has the same feel in my pocket. It was easy to have my iPhone slip out of my pocket so I added a gripped rubber armor protector to it. That solved the problem of having it slip out. With the sliding keyboard on the Droid, I don't think I'll find a similar protector for it.

Not bad, but It's terribly annoying to watch a video that's been edited in this way. It's cool clipping one or two scenes so you don't see movement, but right the way through the video is distracting.
