Anyway tho, thanks for setting me straight. Just, for the sake of the future of music, promise that you will not be lame like Swizz and simply use a factory sample on your productions. I know you won't but jus' sayin'...

But I wouldn't say that NO ONE cares about it being a preset. before I know what was up, I had mad respect for Swizz. The sound and the use were so dope. Now that I see that he is just triggering a sample, all i can credit him for is the way he used it, so my respect for Swizz is now cut by half.

take my advice, djjafa, always stay on top of music theory and sound engineering. It trumps sampling.

But Swizz is an mpc/sampler producer so he aint obviously mad in to tweeking and creating patchs and when a unkown producer hears a song like that they feel they can get big using presets and it also gives swizz publicity like polo da don for love in this club where he used all the garageband loops. but there laughing all the way to the bank people are always going to respect them no matter what bro.

People who have no understanding of music, production, sound design, etc. MIGHT respect them, BUT the REAL artists (guys like you and I who study this shit) will always know that they are, essentially, juicing themselves like Barry Bonds.

@deniz678 Haha.. I was in the same situation as you. I narrowed down to the fantom and motif bc I already got a Korg Keyboard but I went with the fantom just because everyone has the motif. I mean I know a lot of people have the G8 too but I dunno I just liked it better for the music I was working with. Also I dont know if the motif has this but you can sample from any keyboard using a DI... So if you like some sounds on the motif you can always do that..thanks for watchin

@deniz678 get the motif XF its a lot better then the xs. I had the fantom about a year ago for about 2 months then sold it. It depends on what you want to do if you want it for live performance than get a workstartion but if your gonna make music in your room then I would go for a DAW with plugins.

Well if u want it jsut coming out of montiors all u need is 2 1/4" cables. but if you want to actually record the sound into your computer you need some type of audio interface going into a DAW on your computer
