No, No, No guys, that is not how you put the kick stand back up, you leave the kickstand down, and start riding you bike, when the peddle hits the kick stand, the kick stand will go up, with the force of the peddle. I grew up in the time of these bikes, and that is how we always put the kick stand back up. And you are right the bike is old, and worth money as a collectable. Take care of it.
