Depends what lake your fishing, how long for etc. If you are doing a day session on a fairly large pond/lake then floats are not a appropriate. From what i can see of the water they are fishing, bite alarms are essential. Very few specimen carper would fish a water over 2 acres all day with a float. And please tell me how you are meant to fish 2 rods with a float on each.
