  • Thanks again for this video. Before seeing this video i watched a news clip of Uganda's anti-homosexual march (feb 15 2010) and i thought how primitive and barbaric.

We on Youtube can reach into those places of ignorance by coming out, speaking out, and posting videos.

I look at all the gay folks on you tube and it is sooo obvious people are born gay. I am baffled as to why people can't see that. Are they blind? Are they that ignorant? Are they that hateful? Are they buried in ancient books?

  • Move to Canada!

Gay rights were added to our charter of rights in 1992!

Homophobic propaganda was made illegal around 2004 I believe?

ALSO, Toronto will be holding the 2014 Gay World Pride.

    Need I say more?

  • I live in Canada. :-D I would like to see most gay and bisexual people moving to Canada.

  • Yeah, i saw that on your profile after i made the comment. Live and Learn!

  • Fortunately, gay rights evolved a little earlier in Canada than in the United States, and without a lot of the drama we are seeing in the United States right now. I've had a number of Americans ask me how they can immigrate to Canada.

  • There is of course progress, but a lot of what you listed is not in the past tense. Unfortunately.

  • Good point. The problems are very current, especially in countries where it is illegal. The situation in Uganda is very bad. I've been thinking of updating this video some, because there are so many more gay channels.

  • I forgot to say in my original comment, that I liked the video and thanks for listing all the great people on the internet that are battling homophobia with their example and giving gay people more of a community to enjoy! Thanks!

  • Thank you for the kind words. :-D

  • Hey! Thanks so much, i stumbled across this video and seen my username. You made my day. Sometimes i wonder if it's worth it but i know it is. A hundred hate mails is worth that one special person out there who is touched by one of my videos. I am glad to be there for anyone.

    Peace

  • You forgot yourself garysdeskcom! you make a huge difference for people who are gay, lesbian or bisexual

  • Thank you very much for your kind and generous words. :-D

  • I'm really sick of the way quite a lot of straight people are starting to say that gay people shouldn't stand up and fight for the right to not be harassed and taunted because we're just being uptight! Since Tyler Oakley's 'End Hate Speech' video got featured its received so many negative comments. I can appreciate that people are trying to make a difference on youtube, but I just don't feel like it is making a difference.

  • I understand. Pioneering isn't easy. When the Canadian government was debating same-sex marriage, the airwaves on radio were filled with hatred. Call-in shows were full of angry people wanting no rights for gay people. During that time, things felt much worse. Eventually, the Canadian government legalized same-sex marriage. Early stages of change can be very rough. :-( The haters end up pushing many moderates into supporting gay rights. They see how evil hate is.

  • YourLoveCrush.(COM) Wanna know who has a crush on you? Super cool!ll

  • Thanks.

  • Ok this video I agree with. As an OUT movie director and musician I do feel a sense of community and I am doing all I can using YOU TUBE as my venue to reach as many people as possible.

  • Thanks for the post Brandon. :-D I appreciate your perspective, as a musician and a director - two things I am not.

  • oh shut up, you fucking weeping pussy and grow a sack!

  • Interesting comments, considering most of the You Tube video talks about good things that are happening on You Tube.

  • You are one of the reason there is so much hate in the world. Proud to be so negative?

    Grow up

  • As somebody who grew up in NYC, I can't say that I didn't know any gay people prior to getting involved with YouTube. However, until YouTube, I never really discussed

Gay Rights with gay people. Considering that I consider Gay Rights to be a very important Human Right, it's been nice to discuss these issues with Gay YouTubers.

  • I debated about including straight allies, because they are a wonderful support on You Tube. Your work is really appreciated. :-D

  • Thanks. I very much appreciate your work as well. Considering how hostile organized Christian religion has been towards gay people, it's nice to see somebody who makes it clear that Christ's love can overcome the bigotry of others.

  • You are constantly insulting people. You appear to be incapable of entering into dialogue based strictly on the issues. Stick to the issues. Stop insulting people when you do not agree with them.

Insulting people. Claiming you have some kind of a right to treat people like manure does not place you in a morally or ethically superior position.

Name calling is a form of bullying. Your posts are trying to control people through bullying.

  • The problem is you'll never get an intelligent and objective discussion of gays on youtube! These people are simply advocates who object to anyone who disagrees with them. They also have the tendency to never address logical arguments.

  • Your posts have not been logically and intelligently discussing the topic. Your posts only insult people who disagree with your opinions.

  • Presuming God exists, I hope God doesn't ask any questions of us. Is God judgmental as your video suggests?

  • The point of the quote is that God does not really judge people. Most of us strive all our lives to be somebody we are not able to be. God just wants us to be us. Cannot be much less judgmental than that. :-D

  • Oh, okay. I thought you were saying that God judges us on the degree to which we honestly deal with our sexual orientation. I think God even loves those who never accept themselves. Thanks for the clarification.

  • I agree completely. Assuming Jesus is God the Son, we can be certain God understands what it is like to have a role in life nobody understands - not family, not closest of friends, not spiritual leaders. There will be a lot of hurting broken gay hearts in heaven. :-D

  • id like to echo that thanks.

    God Bless

  • Thank you. A lot of good things are taking place because of many brave You Tubers. They are really hitting the cyber pavement, just by being themselves.

  • I see both science and faith. At times, they seem to reinforce each other. Many times, they seem to be in conflict. I suspect what many people are responding to has more to do with the pain they've experience from religious people, from churches, or that loved ones have experienced. I suspect the heart more than the head rules on issues of faith - both in favor of belief and in favor of science.

  • It is in my mind very important to be out. To make an example to the world that we are normal people.

  • I agree. Lack information, lack of knowledge causes fear.

  • For all the scientific evidence, I am still drawn to believe. I have friends that think I am silly for that, but there it is. I think that most people are lead to believe in God, but they are trained by the mas western media not to believe. I think that is a bit sad.

  • You make good points. The heart and the head both have powerful pulls on a person. I tend to look to see where the hurt is when a person says they have rejected God due to science. I think many people who say that were very hurt by church people or in a church and walked away from the pain. It is easier to say science does not support belief in God than to say, "I could not take what you people do in the name of God."

  • Very much so. It is the evil that men do that chases people away from God. It is science that they use to justify their actions after the fact.

  • I think a lot of people will get taken to task by God for driving away God's people.

  • You are right.
