At last-someone exposes aftermarket products as a total con. The surface area of the correct VW filter is 13times bigger, so the holes in that cone need to be more than 13 times BIGGER to allow the same amount of air through. That also means that the cone IS NOT FILTERING to the standard of a paper element. That is why I stick to the correct filter especially when the car has a turbo. Anything other than the correct filter causes premature wear and lots of damage as I found with a K&N.
@urbex2007 umm not entirely true. wat good is it to have a foot long surface area of a filter wen the stock intake opening is only an 1 inch and half?

Did you only compare max hp?
You should check from low to high revs and see the differerence.

sport filter= waste of money and more dust to damage the engine.
