  • how old is he now i wonder?

  • @dorisblake go to Wikipedia.

  • This man is very talented and i don't think you guys should judge him just because of his parents. I dont get the "my friends work for free" part though..

  • He is cute, but he seems to be arrogant (don't know if it's true, but he seems like he is)

  • He kinda turned out exactly like what you'd expect a rich kid who went to boarding school, became a club rat, hung around with the likes of Rufus Wainright would turn out to be:

Lazy and laconic, not especially talented but friends with people who are. Boring to listen to, overly navel-gazing, affected...

I harbor no dislike for him and wish him well. Some of his tunes are hummable to a degree. But it fascinates me to see how he's turned out. Not everyone can slack in such a large way.

  • @ronson232 It amazes me that his dad was one of the best humans to walk this earth and he just milks his fathers fame (in my opinion)

  • he speaks the truth

  • he sounds like John

  • its cool what he say about sadness and happyness..

  • Your friends will work for free. Good comment. Do they know that John left you

    38,000,000 dollars. 38 million dollars!!!

  • @sillyduffers a good reason why he wants to have friends that will work for free, so he can keeps his $39 million and not have to spend 1 dime! yet julian, and i don't always agree with what he says even though i understand where he's coming from, had to actually work everything he made! john lennon maybe my favorite beatles but has a dad he's a disgrace!

  • HE SOUNDS SO MUCH LIKE JOHN!!! =D

  • No matter whatever you say he's sweet. little brother's are always and on their own planet ..hope u all recognize that and compare him with his brother

  • I don't hate him at all. I don't kike his music however. Very weak singing voice and not very melodic. I dare say he could write good songs for other people but his lack of sales and any strong success when you compare him to Julian stick out a mile.

  • I saw Sean on his first tour. He was opening act for Lenny Kravitz, and was very good. He's not like his father, and is not trying to be. He is just himself.

  • asian n white have ugly babies together ,but they have smart ones because asians are not stupid.

  • @kilaniga20 you are an idiot

  • @kilaniga20 lol.......

  • It's funny how everyone who likes Julian hates Sean. You do realize Julian likes Sean and would not appreciate your mean comments. You can't hate him just because yoko was his mom. That makes no sense if you think about it.

  • @MimiTheHamster Well said.

  • Is he as talented as his father?

  • @bublubhuyan no he`s not!!!

  • Julian is obviously the talented one - no offense intended

  • @laurelms1 Listen to GOASTT and eat your own shit.

  • @laurelms1 Listen to GOASTT and eat your own shit.

  • the kid is alright lay off,its not his fault yoko is his mom.he does sound like his dad.

  • He's weird. Julian should have been the one that his fathers priorities and attention. He truly sounds like John.

  • He was so loved and cherished by his parents. And it shows.

  • this guy has no talent at all !! He is horrible, all he is doing is leaving off the lennon name.If he wasent Lennons son this guy couldnt get a job working in a pie shop.Julian seems to have took all the talent.

  • He acts like a Queer.

  • I think Sean and julians music is great not because of who they are but what they sound like, theres such a artistic beauty in Seans melodys and performances..

  • This guy sucks

  • John little girl..actually Sean in Shanan

  • Looks a little like John Belushi.

  • so insightful and so genuine. great inerview1

  • Of all of the beatle kids, i really feel something for this guy. that's a bullshit hand to be dealt.

  • he's is clearly gay... sorry john it's not your fault it is just the era he grew up in.

  • i want to punch him the face...WHY are you speaking like that?!

  • is it just me or does he talk with a lisp? i love sean's voice is too much like Yoko's, that's why he sounds so girlish, no offense to john lennon's son

  • Sean is a great singer!!! When I listen to him I can hear a bit of his father. All of you people are just jealous. Sean can sing...I would really like to hear all of you guys sing better then him, because you can't. I'm 100% sure that John is happy for Sean and what he is doing! So people out there hating on Sean get over it!

  • a gay on drugs, thats how he sounds...sorry!

  • @vinniemass lol

  • It's amazing the way John came from mainstream to be an independent artist...it was almost a miracle in music history. And that is thanks to Yoko. And Sean seems to be very much like Yoko in his spirits, free, independent, unique, true artist. I think John was like that at first, but was then ruined bu the fame and Brian, their producer, that turned John into mainstream artist, that made John mad. And Sean resembles the young, honest, true John Lennon.

  • lets get over the beatles people, these boys are artists in their own right!

  • real life gideon graves!

  • Except for the accent, his speaking voice sounds amazingly like his dad's.

  • @StMikkeli jullian more so i think sean sounds a bit more like a yoko john mix just my opinion

  • That at the start sound like what John would say! lol

  • Total rubbish.

  • I disagree with Sean's comment about it being harder I love to see these kids and hear them and appreciate the talent that has been handed down to them and watch what they do with this talent . Good for them doing something productive.

  • i think sean should right with rufus wainwright

  • when was this recorded?

  • My daughter's name is Brooklyn Sean g. born Sept.16,1980!!!!!!!!!!!! I love John Lennon soooo much!!!! Yoko made John happy and that is what life is all about!!!! They were/are a perfect match..

  • My daughter's name is Brooklyn Sean g. born Sept.16,1980!!!!!!!!!!!! I love John Lennon soooo much!!!!

  • @MERLIN791 Ha, That's a Really Dumb name.

  • Sean has the same birthday as his dad

  • I do Love Sean He is truly his fathers son. I love Yoko Too.

  • It's tough. People only pay attention to his music because of John.

  • @KIWI897 Sad to say but if that was the case then Julian should have been a multi-millionare. Because that dude sounds just like his dad and could possibly pass as his own father.

  • This guy is the embodiment of lame.

  • Julian would kick Sean's ass.

  • @smartass2st Sean is half asian though. Asians kick ass!

  • @Oilasor925 yea.......In Kung Fu movies. Not in rock.

  • @smartass2st Listen to Julians 80 pop crap then Listen to Sean Lennon's Friendly Fire album, incredible.

  • @WindKun try julians last album i think you would be suprised julian even said that the 80s stuff was forced and comercial his last album was released in 98 i think and it was on his label check it out you may like it

  • @nintendork4

I don't think Sean Lennon sounds like John. Julian sounds more like John. Take a look at this watch?v=F815coz2A3s. Close your eyes and it's like you can almost hear John himself.

  • He looks exactly like a cross between John and Yoko.

  • Comment removed

  • @TeknikAlity34 they fucked to make him.

  • @TeknikAlity34 gee.... what a concept huh? come on. no need to state the obvious

  • @TeknikAlity34 Wow that's a really great observation guy.

  • i friggin <3 his glasses.

  • Wow, great minds huh? I was talking to a friend about the "son" band a couple of years ago. They should call it "Son of a Beatle" lol. and I love sean's work and his voice too. Very cool.

  • @nintendork4 i think it's just like you and your parents they are human beings...not something to be relevant :/

  • Bugger the crap about comparing you to your father. Think how Hank, Jr. (much less the third, and Jet....) felt. They have an opportunity to express themselves, and by God they better! I think it's really good. Keep the focus on your art, your heart, and your part in this world that can improve it. "Rock out wit yo cock out," as they say Down Under.

  • Well said...Good response...I can see how that is true.

  • A cult is like a snowball rolling down a mountain, it gathers strength and becomes huge. All the snow under its path becomes pulled into the mammoth snowball. This is beatles, just a band. Just because Sen is the son of a "beatle" doesnt make him any more gifted than anyone else. In fact I think it might be a weight for the poor chap that he can never reach the stature of his dad. I don't wish to judge but it appears that John didn't pay enough attention to his other son Julian and thats sad

  • Very very touching he feels real and authentic very warm and he is talented and on a path which is very inspiring !!!!!

  • whats this song called

  • @LittLeBaRbiEx0 There is more then one song that plays during this interview. I could only make out two: Dead Meat and Parachute

  • Sean kind of look like his dad I like his work too

  • Sean's music is amazing. Ignoring the haters.

  • I'm sorry But I don't think sean is all that good as a singer or songwriter . Now Julian that's another story !

  • @librarian5602 DID HIM WRONG?? you neglected to state the fact....that.....Hoover, Nixon, Poppy Bush, and the CIA murdered Lennon. Check out, Jeff Rense also Antiwar.com.... the US Government and the FBI were involved in the conspiracy to kill John Lennon its been a FACT for decades. Just search "Who Killed John Lennon" AND NOW *THEY* are coming after U.S. & well ALL HUMANITY ! John (& others including our Founders!) telling us all those yrs ago....WAKE UP! Viva LA Revolution!

  • @OurLordLennon

    Jeff Rense LOL!

  • I do not know why children are singers like Lenonn Mcartney and Presleyx not be right if they want to become singers? . Each of them has a different voice type so why not do what they enjoy?

  • sean talks a lot of common sense and very straight foward just like his dad did. to me it sounds like his father is getting out his message through sean in a very positive way. but in many ways sean is very much his own man. i do think that he learn a lot from his father. i can see that he is very focused about what he wants in life and is very honest about how he see's what life is all about

  • Unfortunately no matter what he ever does, he will always be overshadowed by/compared to his father. It's sad and shitty, but it's the truth.

  • Listen to how he talks - Like John and Yoko have become one.

  • the Beatles reincarnate........would be sooooooooooooooooooooo coool.......

  • Such a serious guy. What a beautiful song.

  • What a talented, delightful, open/honest guy. Good luck to him in everything he does. I love his sound! I can't imagine how hard it has been for him and Julian, being the sons of such a famous, great songwriter father --- but how wonderful that they both got the talent, big time. They are SUCH great songwriters/singers/musicians, both of them.

  • Hhe says ALBUM just like his dad lol

  • Is it me or he sounds like a gay john lennon?

  • he has no tallent just his parenst name he is so off now jullian is wonderfull and has talent jules is a kind sprit but sean sees unhappiness in sunsets and his singing is sour i hope he goes away fast

  • @simbadidge i agree

  • I love Sean Lennon's music!!!

  • Look Julian has John's talent in singing & Sean has Yoko's talent of...of...? Of yeah I know living off of John Lennon's name & money!

  • @Godzie1 best comment ever lol man i so agree

  • @striagh Thanks but I was only saying the truth! :)

  • @Godzie1 If John caught you saying that I don't think he'd like it very much. So how about you be quiet now, hm?

  • @MrFooFo0 No to be honest if John was here?

    He would agree w/me.

Just like John is I speak the truth!

  • go get em bud

  • lighten up Sean,Julian is much more down to earth,Sean clearly is more Yoko'ish uppity

  • @kissed61 agree

  • Comment removed

  • He needs a better stage microphone.

  • Sean is a good guy...honest and intelligent like his dad

  • like his mother, THICK

  • Is it me, or he's trying hard to look and act like his dad?...

  • @elsygrace in seans defense... he didnt really get to grow up through his life with his father.

my friend who never new his father became a serious musician... he feels it connects him with his dad because he knew his dad had a great interest in music before he was killed. when he plays, you see him play, but you see this deepness come out that goes beyond what any mortal can play

  • And the Tea Party is so peaceful and cool?

Why not ride the peace train?

Let's sit together on the train and have the conversation. Le't pull into the REALITY station! My Momma is free to say Says Obama,

And you are free to forget John Lennon's message of peace .

WAR IS OVER IF YOU WANT IT!

  • Let's ride the "Peace Train" and derail the Tea Party Express

    My Momma Says Obama

  • @thunderbirdscarlett What does Obama have to do with a damn peace train? He bombs sovereign Pakistan with cowardly drones everyday. Wow, wake up. Lennon would not have like Obama.

  • he's right. you either do what your parents do or you don't. his family is in the business of music. Other people follow in the footsteps of the family business. They become lawyers, doctors, stockbrokers or whatever b/c their parents are. I don't think THEY get attacked for following the family "business".

  • People who attack Sean are simpletons who haven't bothered to listen to his music in depth. Their minds are clouded by comparisons. Although, it's not just Sean who has to deal with this crap; almost every artist page on You Tube has idiots who make negative comments. Just goes to show how miserable many people are. Sad really.

  • Definitely GAY! :D

  • @bogdankp Is he gay, I really don't think so. He was asked this, in a interview. And he said he wasn't, but I have noticed. That people keep saying he is, did he come clean about it.

  • he reminded me of walt whitman

    idk why

the hat? the beard, the gayness?

anyway, that kid really looks like john and i think he's better than julian

  • Christ am I the only Beatles Fan that loves Sean Lennon's work? and his voice? and Thinks that Sean should get together with James McCartney, Dhani Harrison, and Zak Starr?. Dhani looks JUST LIKE GEORGE. they all play the same instruments theyre parents did. I say create a band together. I'd add Julian in but Julian is far much older than the others (except maybe Ringo's Son) but I believe Sean and Dhani would be a great combination, and James is prooving to be a musical fighter as of late.

  • @WindKun

I love his music, too. I feel so badly that his music has been so disrespected, because he has a really unique, wonderful sound. So, you're not alone! I adore John's music, and Sean's, too.

  • @WindKun

    WORD!@!!!!!!!!!!!

they definitely should. maybe not a band but at least get together for a show

  • @WindKun a tribute to the Beatles

    =)

  • @WindKun-Despite your fondest wishes, the Beatles will never come back again. The Beatles are the Beatles. They can not be the children doing a Beatle "cover-band" thing. Try not to compare Sean with John or any other of the children with their infamous fathers. They are unique individuals with their own visions. Their contributions are their own not an appendix of their father's legacy.

  • @WindKun You're not the only one. I love this album and his voice too n__n

  • @WindKun "Christ am I the only Beatles Fan that loves Sean Lennon's work?"

    Quite possibly.

  • @WindKun are you serious? they probably barely know each other, they wouldn't have the same chemistry and it'd just be a terrible, terrible mess. the thought alone is cringeworthy.

  • @WindKun The music industry is very CORRUPT now a days. A REQUIREMENT is to sell your soul to Satan....The Beatles lived it before things got as corrupt as they are today....the corruption & control of THE INDUSTRY was part of the reason The Beatles broke up....that & PAULS constant want to CONTROL the others....& THEN he sold the rights to many LENNON/McCartney songs after Johns assassination by the US CIA etc. McCartney is a sell out, always was among other atrocities.

  • @WindKun Hmm, not so sure.. don't think I like the idea of Beatles Jr. No matter how good they are individually it would just seem too much like a cheap rip off.

  • @WindKun ....there is no re-living Beatlemania thru their children. Sean has no talent what so ever. Just connections....and lots of money. And so dear friends, you'll just have to carry on. The dream is over.

  • @WindKun No, Julian is the eldest Beatles child,('64) then Zak,('66) Sean,('75) James,('77) and Dhani ('78) is the youngest.

  • @ASCUMM011 you mean eldest beatles sons? you forgot all of paul's daughters (heather, mary, stella), ringo's daughter (lee), and ringo's other son jason.

  • @WindKun No you are not. Just 30 minutes ago I put on a comment that the sons of the Beatles should form a tribute band to honor their fathers legacy.

  • @Oilasor925 I say they may not want to do a TRIBUTE band but rather put them all together and just allow them to rock out in their own way. They all must have Brilliant minds via DNA, Just listen to Sean Lennon's Friendly Fire, Myself and (Some) critics agree that as a whole its a better album than anything his father put out as a solo artist, it may not have a better "single" but as a piece of art, the album stands strong on all 10 songs.

  • @WindKun That's a great idea. "Hey, me and your Mom were friends in college. You guys should totally get married!"

Have you ever been in a band?

  • lol Cheeko1111

  • Sean and John, very differnt people to each other. You can tell hes his fathers son and all that but I dont really think they should be compaired.

I've got this album, its really good, though its sometimes similar to John, I give heaps of credit to Sean because its very much his own.

"Oh I need this I forgot" *grabs microphone* hahaha.

How werid would it be for the 3 of them in the same house foir the 5 years the Lennon family we're together. An american, english and asian accent all together

  • my dad is John Lennon = LAID

  • @cjellwood you got that right ... nice pedigree to have .... nice inheritance... like JFK Jr..... yeah thats my dad on the 50 cent piece. LAID !!!

  • @cjellwood

    For REAL! ;D

  • @cjellwood My Mom is Yoko Ono = Bitch slapped

  • Sounds like John with an American accent... maybe a little higher, but yeah.

  • stop comparing sean to john

  • Dude needs to be Sean, not John...

  • he's brilliant, that's the only thing u can get mixing 2 geniuses.

  • It was kinda shocking to see him look like John but sounds and act like Yoko, but then I realize, he was raised by Yoko Ono, around her as his single parent most of his life

  • why isn't he asian whatsoever?

  • @Mendelevium146 he is half japanese

  • @estefanyloves3 ah doesnt look like it

  • @Mendelevium146 his mother is yoko ono, he look just like john, but with yoko's eyes, haha, he doesnt really look that asian

  • Friendly Fire is a class album. Brilliant lyrics - great singing - great music.

  • He also looks very muc like John.

  • HE DOESN'T SUCK!!!! SHUT UP SHUT UP SHUT UP!!!! YOU IDIOTS NEED TO NOT COMMENT ON A VIDEO IF YOUR GOING TO DIS IT!!! YOU CLEARY DO NOT KNOW GOOD MUSIC!!!!

  • He equally looks like his mother and father.Did he grow up in the US because he has no accent.: D

  • @agoldjc16 Yes - he was born in New York.

  • @ClarenceFisher thank you.: D

  • @agoldjc16 he DOES have an accent..? haha i find it funny when people say so and so has no accent, everyone has an accent :)

  • why didnt u make a record for 8 years i wonder...CUZ U SUCK!

  • @WallaceMcHenry says the keyboard warrior who says 'CUZ.'

  • Yes Yoko is an unusual person to say the least. None of us will really know what had been said to John from her. Maybe that's why he wasn't closer to Julian- his sole aire if something were to happen to John. So seal it in marriage, have a child and you're in (right Paul). And didn't John call Yoko "mother". Ah yes, but what kind of mother? I think the rest of us know the answer to that!!!

  • @henryisagoodboy Indeed. He should`ve treated his loved ones better.

  • I love the Beatles and always will, but it gets harder to respect John as all the shit hits the fan on what an asshole he was away from the public. Although he stated for years that he was an advocate for peace, he was an asshole to both of his wives and his first born, so when one has no inner peace from within or respect for others within one's circle, it's hard to believe they are genuine when they claim they want us all to get along and love each other. You must practice what you preach.

  • @henryisagoodboy

    how come you said that?

  • @Schwanengesang415 John Lennon had many issues in his life. I love John as the artist as I did the Beatles. As I continue to read about John's antics away from the public, he was a very disturbed man, but was intelligent enough to change his ways. It seemed he didn't. He had major substance problems, beat on his first wife, cheated on his second and barely had a relationship with his frst born. He did the same thing to Julian that his father did to him. That's why I said that!!!

  • @henryisagoodboy Yes he did beat his wife. He had admitted it in an interview. He did do a lot of lsd but hey lol i dont have a problem with that. As for other drugs i duno what else he did. But he did change his ways or at least was in the process. I watched a doccumentary about him and before he died he called his family in Liverpool and said he thought it was time for him to finaly take care of his own family for once. So i really beleive that he was a good guy.

  • @henryisagoodboy And u know he did have a fucked up childhood to wich probably was a big reason why he did the things he did (not that that absolves what he did). And u know what nobody is perfect and John is no exception. But don't let all those things tarnish what was a great person and a great legacy.

  • @xXxtaexXx1 I realize we ALL have issues. I couldn't imagine hitting or cheating on my wife or not being a loving caring father to my child, especially if I had as you say "a fucked up childhood".Obvoiusly drinking and drugging didn't help his temperament on becoming a better person to those around him at the time. I hope that you're right and John made peace with those he hurt before he died. Otherwiise his loved ones would have to remember him as he was. What was the name of the documentary?

  • @henryisagoodboy Well he never did get a chance to go back to his family because he got shot. And im not saying having a fucked up childhood absolves what he did. I mean his still responsible for not being in Julians life. And maybe i sholdnt say a "great person" because he did have major flaws but in my opinion i just think that deep down he was a decent human being. And the Doccumentary was Called The Real John Lennon. U can find it on Youtube.

  • @xXxtaexXx1 Agreed. I guess the saying "hurt people hurt" can be applied here. And don't we still love those in spite of themselves!!! His music has brought much happiness to millions of us who love the Beatles. It helps me get out of a funk when I hear anything by the Fabs..

  • @xXxtaexXx1 Agreed. as the saying goes "hurt people hurt". He's gone and many miss him. I hope he found inner peace before he left us. John was a complex genius and it seems people of that caliper have extreme personal issues. You know the genius/madness theory. His music and the Beatles live on each time we listen!!

  • @henryisagoodboy ya sadly though john left a lot of things unfinished/ unsaid. I know Paul has said he feels bad he never got to work things out with John. But Paul also said that Yoko told him after John had died, that John did love him. Whats even worse is that Yoko told John's family that they werent invited to say goodbye to John after he had died. Yoko had John cremated and kept the ashes for herself. At least thats what it said in that doccumentary i told u about. So its rather sad.

  • Hey if he shaves his facial hair and takes off those huge glasses you'll see John Lennon.
