Someone can sell their labor for less if people value it less. If it turns out their labor is actually worth more other companies may offer them a job at higher pay. Under communism what incentive would people have to work hard. I'm guaranteed a job and resources. It's just unsustainable.

If you're going to transition from a communist economy to a capitalist one your going to need a adjustment and that is never easy. You have state enterprises that are undesirable to investors because they don't function very well. You need a reallocation of resources, your going to have a period of unemployment while investors try to figure out how to make the economy more efficient and the time to build up the proper infrastructure to do so. You also need to take government actions into account

Greece ran out of money(obviously investing in those programs didn't pay back) In order to fund these programs the Greek government incurred enormous debt. Getting all their free stuff from the government the Greek people allowed the government to keep doing it. Greece's economy could no longer pay the enormous debt and is now forced to cut back.

If you're going to transition from a communist economy to a capitalist one your going to need a adjustment and that is never easy. You have state enterprises that are undesirable to investors because they don't function very well. You need a reallocation of resources, your going to have a period of unemployment while investors try to figure out how to make the economy more efficient and the time to build up the proper infrastructure to do so. You also need to take government actions into account

The sweat shops may seem terrible, but the west went through a similar process. The developing countries of today have the advantage of learning from the developed. If they fail to fully understand them then it's their fault. Greece ran out of money(obviously investing in those programs didn't pay back) In order to fund these programs the Greek government incurred enormous debt. Getting all their free stuff from the government the Greek people allowed the government to keep doing it. Greece's economy could no longer pay the enormous debt and is now forced to cut back.
