If there was an actual war between the USA and China, China wouldn't lose so easily. There was a reason why the allies didn't invade Russia after WWII or during the Cold War. It was because Russia would be impossible to occupy. China would be even more of a nightmare because it currently has the highest population in the world. If there was an actual war between the USA and China, China wouldn't lose so easily. There was a reason why the allies didn't invade Russia after WWII or during the Cold War. It was because Russia would be impossible to occupy. China would be even more of a nightmare because it currently has the highest population in the world. Even if this changes, it is unlikely that all the allies together could send enough troops to occupy both China AND Russia.

@rukiosu The ANZUS alliance is pretty damn airtight, but times have changed. Australia does rely on China a lot more these days, they keep our economy going. Eventually, yes, we would ally with the U.S, simply because of their military power, but it would take a lot of considering. We'd need to be guaranteed protection from China for starters.

3) If this "alliance" invaded and took over a neighbouring country. That would start WWIII immediately. NATO wouldn't wait around for an Imperialist Russia and China to get stronger before doing anything. At the very least, such actions would begin an immediate war with the USA and a good chunk of its allies.

1) Russia would not become communist again. They tried it, it didn't work, and when the system inevitably failed, the people and nation were hurled into a very anarchic and difficult time. They wouldn't agree to let it happen again. Russia might eventually become imperialistic and try to become a superpower, but it would never become Communist.
