  • Is Colin Firth doing what I think he is at 1:26?!

  • @LilyWhiteRiot Depends on what you think he's doing but yes he's litteraly kissing her ass

  • cruel intentions : the beginning lol

  • LOL TOO CHEESY

  • @MrLokiKatz Are you a fan or wot? ><

  • I love the scene where he's kissing her bum! ^^ .. oh I guess I just love all films from Colin (that's why I'm being a fan for 17 years now :D)

  • wait wait wait ... WAS THAT FAIRUZA BALK??? DAYUM.

  • Where Firth sneakily seduces, Malkovich violently rapes. Both versions of the tale are equally brilliant but they are made in different ways. I reccommend this for any fan of Firth. It may not necessarily be the best movie in his back catalogue but he plays the character very well. His seduction of the ladies is second to none, he is cheeky and passionate - how I only wish he'd do it to me, lol.

  • is this a good movie? "Dangerous Liasons" was excellent.

  • this movie is so charming...firth and annette were so playful. i love it! :) i love it i love it! i love it!

  • Imao "SEXUAL GAMES" Hahahahahahha. And I love how the narrator says "Pleasure" SOOO simply. L.O.L. :D

  • "as everybody tries to bed everybody" Oooohh how scandalous loL!

  • i watched this over 100 times i got the DVD and everything and it never gets old i love it sooooo much

  • Firth and Malkovich both are brilliant as Valmont..But they are different...both great actors...

  • it is very difficult to go after the version of Frears, the trio Malkovitch Close Pfeiffer moved me!! everything was perfect in that movie, the costume, the make up, the lighting, the music..., Dangerous liaison is from far "superior" in all angles to Valmont. it s a harsh opinion, but this is how i feel having watching both, Close Pfeiffer and Malkovitch gave one of their best performance for that movie, and Close and Malkovitch have always been underated weirdly...

  • Colin as Valmont: pure bliss

  • I like John Malkovich sooooo much more :-)

  • OMG, Colin Firth, you sexy beast

  • Annette Bening sucks.

  • thats my name

  • this is my favorite film adaptation of this story...cruel intentions sucked compared to this but i never seen the first one with glenn close is it good?

  • @cutiefbaby you're right, cruel intentions sucks but you should really watch 'dangerous liaisons' with john malkovich he's incomparable!! I was crying my eyes out at the end of the movie.

Firth does a fair job but Malkovich is a true genius: malicious, deceiving, outrageous, vulnerable...he's got it all.

'Valmont' is good but 'Dangerous Liaisons' is a masterpiece! One of the best films of all time.

  • John Malkovich is so much better as Valmont. This movie was released a year after Dangerous Liaisons So, obviously they were just riding the coat tails of sucess. Because until recently, I'd never heard of this movie. But the latter has always been one of my favorite movies. Glenn Close is so amazing. She does the best tormented character.

  • Obviously, as the original 18th century novel reveals, the best and worst of human nature is depicted. One other point the author was making, while the nobility were cavorting with such wild abandon....France was on the verge of economic collapse, and the poverty-stricken French people would soon vent their rage in the French Revolution. But, "all is fair in love & war".

Valmont is my favourite version of the novel. Colin Firth is a splendid actor, as are the others. So romantic! :)

  • putain ça a l'air cool monsieur du menton pardon de valmont mais où est son cheval? telle est la question....

  • i saw dangerous liasions and cruel intensions, how close is this one two the book?

  • The BEST version of Liaison Dangeureuses

  • when i first saw colin firth in this film i was like no way (i was a little disturbed by the whole plot) but now that i've seen it i rly like it!

  • omg this is SUCH a joke of a preview! could the narrator BE ANY CHEESIER??!!!

    firth as valmont??WTF??!!!

    and benning as a seducer???

    TOTAL.FUKN.JOKE.

go read the play people--or watch a decent adaptation-"Dangerous Liasons" with Pfeiffer, Thurman, Malkovitch and Close....

  • Yes, Colin as Valmont! He is the BEST for this role, go watch the whole movie, you will Love it!

  • @nadia50 I agree that Firth was perfect in this role, but yes that narrator was completely cheesy!

  • Hey, Firth as Valmont is great! And Benning? Wonderful! I read that book and I liked it very much so I can say that they both played that great! + music, costumes... Amazing!

  • This trailer is indeed very painful. The movie was obviously not as good as Dangerous Liaisons, but it was a whole lot better than I expected it to be: I thought both Bening and Firth were excellent.

  • @thrillkillkitten Yes, firth as Valmont is as good as Malkovich in Dangerous Liasions or even better- he's a real astocrate. And Benning suits definietly better than Glenn!! Her acting is really amazing and while reading the book i imagined Marqize de Mertreuil really LIKE her.

  • @thrillkillkitten Um, the original work is actually an epistolary novel, not a play, but you're right the version with Glen Close and John Malkovitch is really quite good.

  • @thrillkillkitten This is better version of Valmont than dangerous liasons, and are in Meg Tilly and Fairuza Balk too, is one of best ten films of this decade.

  • @thrillkillkitten i tried to watch the movie but ... didnt make it. i forgot everything although i watched it three weeks ago and it was boring and i stopped watching after less than an hour..hate colin in this. its just freaking boring. so what.

  • @nadia50 You're so right about that there!!

  • @thrillkillkitten Well this movie was made in the 80's sooo but it's a great movie!!

  • i was watching this and i wish i can find it?

  • I have already uploaded the movie on yt, please take a look at the right of the page, you will find it! Thanks for watching :)

  • It's a shame Colin wasn't cast as Valmont in Malkovich's place. That was the most unbelievable bit of casting ever and Firth definitely would've been more credible at seducing Michelle Pfeiffer.

  • Malkovich was brilliant as Valmont. There's no denying that.

  • wow looks good and a bit of sexuality in it as well and colin firth is young in this i cant belive hes turning 49 on sept 10

  • fairuza balk es para mi la mujer perfecta , es la unica en su tipo

  • I love Annette's crazy character! :) She is such a good actress!

  • oh my god ! it's so horrible!

  • can someone tell me the haunting love theme between Colin and Meg Tilly - IMDB only lists 3 songs and my guess would be the Haydn minuet but I'm not sure and there is no soundtrack listing anywhere on the net

  • If you want to find out the titles of all the tracks go on Amazon and see Valmont soundtrack, that's pretty useful :)

  • Good movie. Colin was young and talented in this part...

  • I Like This Movie and it has a great cast:Annette Bening,Colin Firth and farizua Balk. What a Beautiful and amazing Movie.I Have it on DVD Too!

  • Amazing movie!!!Annette Bening,Colin Firth,Fairuza Balk and Meg Tilly were awesome in it.A must see.

MILOS FORMAN=ONE OF THE BEST DIRECTORS EVER

  • im waching it right now great moove dam tho i never get to see it all from the begining hahaha

  • who can help me finding the name of that beautiful piece of music when madame de Tourvel and Valmont are dancing?

B.t.w. it happens to be my fav. movie of all times too! So we have the same taste ;-)

  • Yes thats right but I think better than nothing!

  • wow the trailer for this movie does not do it justice! This movie have to be my fave of all time, but this trailer really makes it look not that great...
