  • yea mozart was a real master of the concerto. or of anything musical at that...

  • one of my favorite piano pieces .holland

  • 2:58 - 3:30 - simply divine!

  • So amazlngly unique!...I am argentine as Martha Argerich and I saw her making some of the same gestures of her great professor...thank you very much for this video!. Cheers!, Sergio.

  • superb piano

  • wonderful!

  • Absolutely wonderful. I am quite impressed with the sound quality. Very well presented. Thank you -- grazie -- merci -- gracias -- danke.

  • Thera are two things that make me happy when i´m blue: one is Medicine, other is Mozart. Coffee make the two more wonder.

  • 10 Years with no Gulda U.U

in my heart u will always be (:

    Long live Gulda

  • Pretteee... pretteee... pretteee... pretteee... good.

  • he is the best and he puts his soul into it

  • LIsten 3: 40 ....what a room. What a space. What a deep corridor of sound. It's unbeliveabel. What a great musician. What a master of Mozart. I could cry. He gave us so much. And without Gulda maybe Miss Argerich would not have been known.

I adore both! Rest in peace, Friedrich Gulda and thank you for the music!

  • 1hakon, didst thou say "R.I.P., Friedrich Gulda?" He's no more?

  • Comment removed

  • Interview with Gulda in 1989:

    "Macht Ihnen das Alter Probleme?

Also, ich bin jetzt neunundfünfzig, und ich übe mich in dem Gedanken, daß mein wahrscheinlich letztes Lebensjahrzehnt bald beginnt."

    Google Translation:

    "Are you age problems?

So, I am now fifty-nine, and I exercise myself in the thought that probably my last decade of life soon begins. " :-)

  • Mr. Gulda unfortunately passed away in 2000, because of a heart attack..

  • Gostei!!! It's beautiful. The style is diferent.

  • wow wow wow amaaaazing i really love this concerto and you made me love it more and more by your feelings :)

  • Well paced tempo. It's a larghetto, not an adagio as it is very often played. Gulda exhibits all the craftmanship of a top notch musician. Hail Friedrich!

  • Played so beautifully and with so much love. Music just doesn't get any better than this. (And I agree, the improvisation seems perfect in it's simplicity, and we all know that to be simple and original is one of the artist's greatest challenges)

  • pleasant concerto,I like gulda's style

  • the improvising part was a little simple, but still good

  • You say the word "simple" as if it were something bad. Believe me, complicated things are easy to do. It's the easy-sounding things that are hard to create. That's also true for other arts, most of all literature.

Besides, why should he impose a non-simple improvisation on that simple music? That would not only unbalance and ruin the entire piece, it would also be presumptuous.

  • Mr. Gulda was a great pianist and a great conductor. Moreover, his appearance is very funny, very unusual for a classical pianist.

  • Woah its really nice thanks for sharing

  • would it be possible to get the music sheet of this concerto in internet?

  • Thanks a million for posting these absolutely wonderful videos with the unforgotten - and unforgettable!! - Friedrich Gulda! It'a feast - a feast for the ear, and for the eye as well! What a personality this man was! Yes, he was the "enfant terrible" of the concert scene, but he was a truthful and humble servant to Mozart's genius! He showed the people what the piano concerti are - they are celebrations - true feasts of the highest dimension!

  • He sets us free from all the clichee of Mozart's interpretation. Nothing bothers in his playing, a key or a chord played louder than usual, a sudden pause, everything is tasteful, and deeply, sincerely 'felt'. Thanks for the posting, i always forget about Gulda, how much i enjoy and admire his art

  • why only interpretation..? mozart has improvised his music - classical interpretation is absolutely overestimated. a point : "Do not follow the old masters´steps, but seek what they were seeking... " Basho (1644-1694) : japanese haiku - master :-) ! ..you wonna see/hear something realy innovative - how to improvise classical music ?! look for video : "bach sarabande jazz guitar" or visite renatorozic dot com ..you ll be nicely surprised .. :-)
