Yeah there was nothing wrong with the '93 opening whatsoever. In all honesty the new just has slightly better color. I say slightly because it appears there's chunks where 93 was brighter. This is just a sad attempt by a corporate monster to introduce a new generation to a product from our pasts, and by the looks of the new opening it's a tainted product.

2010 was good and they probably could have gotten away with it back in the 90's but just bearly. See Disney was doing what I liek to call the "Remake rethink fail" They think that using an old series means they can only improve it, but instead they make major modifications or add new graphics and make it worse, this makes it so the new kids never see what we saw and the older people don,t get to relive alot of what they remember! (it failed around 0:19...)

Also, the 2010 MMPR opening produced by Disney made the Japanese import seem like some cheap comic book. Granted, the Rangers acheived limited success as a small comic series at MMPR's height in the 90s, but that's beside the point. The 1993 intro was more nostalgic for original fans of the show & thus, fairs better by comparison.

I don't like all the edits they did to the original MMPR. Just Bring Zyuranger from japan to america unedited and english subbed along with the original MMPR and everyone will be happy. When edited and over dubbed it loses alot of intesity and quality. Even Jason David Frank(Tommy Oliver) was impressed by Zyurangers but was bummed out when his script had little from the original jap series

Its a Remastered version from the one from 1993, only with some photoshop effects. This is not a Remake of the one from 1993, it is a Remastered Re-Broadcasted PR series, no change on actors, nothing.
