Growing up as a teen in the 1960s I had long gotten use to and loved seeing/hearing Diana Ross and The Supremes on TV and albums doing standards along with their own hits. I was totally blown away in Nov. 1969 when this segment of the G.I.T. special came on TV that night. Miss Ross was superb and left no doubt that it was way past time to leave The Supremes.Motownboy thanks so much for this great treasure that you posted.This is ultimate Ross stuff that should have been on DVD decades ago.

You have no idea how much I have always wanted to see the Leading Lady Medley in its entirety. I had the GIT soundtrack LP On repeat all of my teens, and just had to imagine what was going on from the photos in the fold out cover. Thank you, this has made my day. Finally Miss Ross in all her late 60s glory. Absolute Superstar.

It's really unfair that almost none of Diana's specials(IIRC)are on DVD, as hers are just as great, if not better than(on many levels)than those of other divas.

The Supremes' & Diana's late night show appearances DVDs are literally flying off of the shelves.

It doesn't make sense.

Mitzi, as awesomely fabulous as she is, couldn't pull this off, though, her specials came close, picking up where this one left off.

Diana's one of the few, if only, client he's ever described as "probably was a high priestess in a past life. She can wear the most elaborate costumes as if she were born to it. I've often wondered where goddesses come from. It must be Detroit."
