What's with anxiety over living without internet & phone? There are folks worse off. How i'd like to slap her in the face (not really). Maybe if she wasn't a smoker her anxiety level would be less. Besides - she had a camera to talk to... that's hardly "traveling back in time".
If your friends like living in caves thats their right, the Neanderthal life style is not for me. I like the modern convinces like heating, cooling, having cooked food, warm cloths to wear and a dry clean bed to sleep in.
I've not read the article but I love the idea! I'm not sure the use of her land line should be part of the deal... I don't really see why not using technology should turn her in to a hermit.
