  • incredible cover guys, keep being awesome!

  • Amazing cover guys!

  • Where did you get the tabs?? Seriously aswere cause it would be very help full.

  • looks like fun

  • Not bad, not bad.

  • sweet!

  • awesome, thumbs up

  • in standard tuning sounds like a lullaby. Tune your guitars 1 or 2 tones down... Better 2.

  • @mickmetallico If we ever did it electric, I would definitely be in the tuning In Flames uses. But we decided to just use standard for all of our covers. Cause they bounced around tunings throughout the years from standard, to half-step down, to whole step, and then finally 2 steps down. This was just easier.

  • nice guitar the one on the left, unigue body.

  • hey guys do u think u can send me the tabs for this song?

  • i love this version!

  • Acoustic Version? This was amazing, the song is so underrated! Melodic Death Metal songs sound so beautiful when they are played acoustically, the melody sticks out, I love it!

  • hey dudes, great cover... i add my version (i comented in dialogue but it was the miss video jaja. i hope you like it...

    greetings from argentina

  • awesome

  • really good

  • what guitars are these? especially the one with the jackson-like angled head-stock.

  • The guitar on the right is an Ibanez acoustic/electric. I'm not sure of the name cause Ibanez just uses a bunch of random letters and numbers for their names. Haha. The guitar with the Jackon-esque headstock is a Kramer Ferrington.

  • The Ibanez looks really nice^^ You know how much it costs?

  • It's about $350.

  • awsome! 5/5!

  • dan and eric...you have cool guitars

  • My favourite song of In Flames!

Saw them on sunday, they didn't play it, but atleast I got to see you guys do it :D awesome cover.

    Cheers, keep it up!

  • блять так оно и есть.

  • your a idiot

  • Yea, and your grammer is terrible. Suck shit.

  • man up, playing in standard is harder anyway

  • this only applies to electric covers.

    these guys are awesome. period.

  • as usual, you guys take great melodic metal songs and make it into a heartfelt beautiful acoustic sound. ALways look forward to your vids!

  • Wow you guys are fucking awesome! Best song ever!

  • Pure awesomeness!

  • is that a stratacoustic

  • It's a Kramer Ferrington. Very similar to a Stratacoustic, but higher quality.

  • ok

i thought so because of the head stock

its pretty similar to my guitars

  • Great job! I love the arrangement.

  • again... been watching this video for a very long time now... it's been awhile but i just watched it again... and AGAIN it has blown my fucking mind. you guys are so damn tight... it's ridiculous man. absolutely perfect timing. incredible performances and you both made it look easy.

  • You guys are awesome! Keep on with the greatest thing mankind ever have discovered: HEAVY METAL!!! \m/

  • wow...IN FLAMES WE TRUST

  • nice! You guys plays well together!

how long does it typically take you to sync a song like that? 2-3 days?

  • start a band now. find a drummer, singer, and bassist.

    Do it now

  • epic

  • fucking Awesome. !! 5 !

  • Hört sich sehr gut an. Fünf Sterne. :)

  • Haha. Eric and I just have good guitarist synergy.

  • wow great

  • Have you got a correct tab of this song

  • Nicely done :)

  • this is my fav inflames song and you guys did a great cover

    kudos =)

  • have you guys done man made god?

  • in flames beautiful song very good job!

  • Sweeeeeeeeeeet : D Really nicely done! I love it! 5/5

  • Wow guys this sounds great, love this song and your version came out perfect.

    Keep it up :)

also 'esurette', why don't you just tune down to C or D lol, takes like 1 minute...

  • Tuning down an acoustic guitar? Oi, oi, oi...^^

This will sound terrible if you don't use other strings or modify the neck, won't it? I'm not sure...

  • great idea to play IN FLAMES by two acoustics.

    sounds amazing.

can you tell me if you learned the songs by guitar pro or just tabs?

It will be great if I could play your version ;)

  • We play the Guitar Pro tabs, but in standard tuning. We also do our own little tweaks every now and then. But yeah. We just take the 2 parts that sound best together and play them in standard tuning. That's all.

  • All right. Thanks a lot dude, and keep rocking. I really admire your work. And Schehf's. hehe

In Flames is playing tomorrow night here in México!! I've been waiting this day for months maybe years ago.

  • Dan's a Shredder!!

  • You should make a new band called "Out of the flames" or something :) Way to go! Rock on!! ! ! 1! ! !

  • awesome! One of my favorite in flames songs.

  • Standard E or C?

  • We play the song in E standard. It's originally recorded in C standard though. So, it sounds 2 steps higher in our video than on any of In Flames' recordings.

  • Well that is amazing. My problem is that my one guitar is tuned to E and most songs I want to play are in C or D. But it works out very well for you, good job

  • It's just PERFECT ...

    amazing synchro!

  • Could this be labeled as folk music?

  • absolutely NO

  • Well, I know In Flames isn't folk. I'm just saying, this acoustic version.

  • still, it's a definite NO :d

  • I'm going to interject and end this debate once and for all. No it could NOT be just labeled as folk music, because it is the EPITOME of folk music! \m/

  • It sounds a little bit like dances of the Middle Age. It could be folk in my ears.

  • Awesome job on the harmonized bends, guys.

  • amazing!

  • good job guys. I am starting to dig this stuff big time.

  • Dude,

I don't know why, I just feel like I know you guys. Maybe we ROCKED out in a past life... this is SO weird man. I'm freaking out.

  • hahaha trop cool les gars :) in flames rulz!!!!! continue comme sa !!!! more more more!!!

  • Merci! Je t'aime.

  • dude what guitars are those ones?

  • Good old blackie on the left there is a Kramer Ferrington. And Eric's guitar on the right is some Ibanez thing. Acoustic/Electric. That's about all I know about it.

  • very nice 1 of my favorite songs love it better then the original thanks 2 you for thath perfomance (;

  • How do u play all these In Flames songs in standard tuning? i want to play them in standard too!

  • Crazy thing about music... just play it the same way. It'll sound the same, just everything will be 2 steps higher. You probably won't even notice unless you have perfect pitch (which you don't) or if you're playing along with the original.

  • if im correct in finking, in flames do play in standrd, but 2 steps down making it standrd c. which means u havent got to transpose any of the song into different places, jus play them like in flames do, but ur to steps higher...

meaning u cant play along with the record, but, ur still playin um rite.

  • I think I get what you're saying. Yeah. We play at the same frets that In Flames does. But we are in standard E tuning, whereas they are in standard C tuning. So, even though we are playing in the same positions as them, we just sound 2 steps higher.

  • yep thats wat im sayin i guess lol, was tryin 2 shed sum light on thimpiz's question,

great cover btw guys, keep it up :-p

  • aah now i got it! Many thanks to u guys!

  • Yeah, You guys really rock!

  • Very nicely played!

You guys have inspired me to try and cover some songs myself (however on piano and not guitar, since that's what i play =)

Really great job, huge thanks to you both! Easily 5/5 stars

  • Yeah, you guys dont answer mail much. but i still oe you and your music. Keep Rocking, and bring on some more. I am hugry for Dan and Erics insane awesome Acoustic version style.

    youre good

  • i'm gonna let you suck my balls if you keep it like that!

  • who cares if its easy to play if it sounds fucking awesome

  • None of those bands are metal. Lmfao. All metalcore, and all cliche, unoriginal at that.

  • u guys are freakin insane

  • Keep it up!!! Awesome synchro, the harmonies were just perfect!

  • there is a band called gyroscope and a band called in flames, but this song isn't by either of them.. im confused

  • Yes it is... It's the song Gyroscope played by the band In Flames. It's definitely an In Flames song. It's on two CDs actually, The Jester Race/Black-Ash Inheritance and Whoracle. Take your pick. They're both the same thing.

  • Thanks

  • ahahah jamie you homo i saw megadeth asking about covering this song in a month n a half i was like... wait... talent show.. month n a half.. megadeth.. buddy covering this song with you... JAMIE YOU WEINER ahahah were gonna own this song itll be dope :D

  • More In flames covers! I demand it!! now!!

  • that was sick. Guitars sounded nice.

  • that sounded awsome!

  • Hey how long did it take you guys to learn this cause my buddy and i wanna cover this for the talent show which is in like a month and a half

  • Eric and I were very familiar with this song when we started learning it. So, it only took us a day to learn it. You could easily have this song mastered while blindfolded and playing upside down in a month and a half. Haha. It's not hard at all.

  • Can u tell me where u get the tabs when ur using em plz?trying to find some tabs for ritam guitar only and solo guitar only =P

  • Great! Please get a drummer, a bass player and some vocals and record it. Then put it up here :D Top notch.

  • Damn.. that was awesome.. nice timing both of you =)

  • Ive been watchin u guys play for the past couple of days.

All ur In Flames covers are great

do u play by ear or by tab?

  • A little bit of both. Acoustic Medley was figured out all by ear. The others were a combination of looking at tabs and fixing things that were clearly not correct.

  • Best cover of Gyroscope I've seen. By the way, for how long have you been playing guitar?

  • Let's see... I've been playing about 7 years or so. Eric started off playing bass and just recently started playing guitar exclusively around 3 years ago.

  • straight on my favourites!!!

  • it sounds so clean, how do you guys? not make the other strings buzz during like the main riff? (:26)

when i always play that riff (especially in the electric) it always buzz, how do you not make it buzz?

  • Hmmm. I think I know what part you're talking about that might be buzzing. As soon as you're done needing the open string to ring out, you just lay a quick palm mute down to deaden it. Just takes practice. That's all.

  • lol thnx i figured that out ryte after i posted the comment lol

    awesome cover you guys

you guys should do square nothing

  • Well done, guys!!! 5 stars!

  • nice guys sounds very good! i love it!! cheers!

  • Very nice. Pretty sure the guitars are supposed to be tuned to C though.

  • Very true. But we just learn the songs in standard and arrange them for two guitars. Regular strings get a little too floppy when you drop them down 2 steps.

  • Fucking great job guys!

  • Hmm... I play a Kramer Baretta myself :D Good guitars. Most of them.

  • Well done guys :)

  • maybe you can try Come Clarity ?

  • No, because Gyroscope kicks ass and Come Clarity does not.

  • true, +1

    Great playing guys!

  • Neither do you, it seems

  • True, also +1

  • where did u guys get the chords/tabs for this?????????

  • So good.

  • very clean. great job

  • r those frets from the kramer guitar the size of electric guitar frets or acoustic?

  • I'm pretty sure they're the size of electric frets. I've lined them up with my Alexi-600 before and they're about the same size. The Kramer has 22 frets and I'm pretty sure they're at least jumbo, if not extra jumbo.
