The fade route was a staple of the Seattle offense in the redzone back when Hasselbeck had the arm to throw it and D-Jack was beating DBs off the snap. One of his famous drops came against champ bailey in denver he beat Champ by 3 steps on the fade and hasselbeck zipped it in there only to watch D-jack pop it out with his knees. Just because we can't utilize it very well doesn't mean there are not cases where it has a high probability of working.
