I gave the "Ulitmate Best Man Speech" in 2006.

I'm not saying this to float my own boat...just saying that there are several best man speeches out there that everyone "uses"

I believe most best man speeches are a compilation of other best man speeches that have been given since the begining of bm speeches. I think the jokes/lines are passed from wedding to wedding. state to state. country to country. I don't think anyone can take ownership in the material...but they can in their performance and delivery. That what makes or breaks a speech. IMHO

@goosebry - Great speech mate. I have just put a video up of a recent best man speech at a wedding I went to. The crowd liked it and Im sure some of the material he probably got from your website!!. You can see it on my channel (Its the only video I have uploaded so isnt difficult to find) or search "best man speech elmo" he fluffed his opening line but did a good job in the end!!

Huh - Great speak? What are you guys on about. He's speaking far too fast. I cannot undestand half the words he is saying. Can anyone tell me what he says in the 1st 5 secs. Most of the time he's mumbling. Maybe its just the video. But he has good body language and gestures. Definately no voice articulation and clarity.

thanks for posting, i was best man at a wedding and i used this speach, not word for word, i took the ideas and rewrote it in my own words, it went down a storm!! and to all best men looking for ideas on your speach, heres a tip, take a pen and paper when you go to bed, i had all my best ideas when i was just falling asleep, and dont worry, its not as bad as you think when you get up there!!

It is an unbelievable speech but the audience has to be quite young to middle aged to get the jokes.

I can't see many old aged pensioners laughing at the serching for "best man stuff" on the computer (2:45) as they won't be computer literate and wouldn't actually get it.

10/10 for the speech though, great success!
