  • Where did he find a pair of PUMPS??!!

  • how did i know if i looked in the comments id find a bunch of trolls

  • is that a washburn guitar?

  • @SammyBeniuga yup, its a N4 Nuno Bettencourt Signature model

  • hello, can anybody explain to me the concept of amp effects? I mean the randall/marshall/mezaboogie/ cabinet included in a multi-effects? please, I'm having real hard times understanding it. If i have a Laney cabinet, why do i still have to use the Marshall cabinet amp embeded in the multi-effect guitar processor? please, I am so green with those concepts. hope you understand..

  • @delacruzneili The amp/cab models in multi-effects units are primarily used when you are recording direct to PC via USB. It allows you to simulate having an amp and cab.

Some people, me included, use these models as part of their actual tone and just run the unit through their amp's clean channel when playing live.

Of course, some of the newer units, the RP500 included, allows you to turn off the amp/cab modeling. This allows you to use them just like normal stompboxes.

    I hope this helps. :)

  • @kushiii

Thanks man. I have not yet installed my looper system in my rp500. Can you teach me how to do that in my pc procedurally? Thanks. Your reply helped me a lot since you're the only one replied with that comment of mine. I appreciated it. thanks.

  • @delacruzneili No problem!

The thing is, I don't exactly remember how I updated mine. But I'm sure that I got the XEdit, NetUpdater and RP500 Driver from digitech[dot]com[slash]en-US[slash]products[slash]rp500.

Just click on the Downloads button on the lower right part of the page. :)

  • @delacruzneili Nice Question you got there. Yes, to use Amp/Cab effect, you gotta have clean Amp plugged to your guitar. Otherwise it wud be cocktail of Amp/Cab effects. Like you got Laney Amp/Cab and now you set your Digitech RP500 to Marshall Amp tone, what would you get. COCKTAIL Amp/Cab Effect :P

  • the buttons not orange so im not gonna push it !!! lmao

  • Generally Processors always sound better when used through amps but for direct recordings not.

  • is it possible to add stompboxes in the rp 500? thanks. Or at least how can i add it i mean the connections? i have the rp 500 plus a boss sd-1?

  • @CRASHABC I used to run a separate distortion box through the RP500 and it worked pretty well--except for the wah. I had to get a separate wah pedal as well because I generally want my wah before my dirt boxes.

  • i didnt have mine a week and the master vol knob broke off, took it back, and a week later the new ones knob broke off too. sounds great but man they need a guard

  • I really don't see why people are so insulting of this guy. It's his PLAYING we're interested in here, NOT his bloody fashion sense! Has the guitar world become THIS shallow?

  • Oh dese guy!

  • how do u assign a preset on the pedal?

  • The H&K Statesman ! <3

  • Thanks Dale. Nice demo of the Digitech.

On a separate note, thanks to the intelligence of the tools who commented on clothing........wtf

I'm off to surf Cranbourne Music

  • GAYS SNEAKERS

  • THats the spirit!!!, yeah Pro people says:

if talking about effects the greatest sound is from Roland--> so Boss pedals

Like the Gt-10, then people say PODHD is Awesome.... then people talk about digitech cuz you can get a smaller one and have the same cuality of a Rp1000 but is harder to edit and perfome. Thx All GOd Bless

  • haha, it was just my opinion on wich was better. i personaly like pods better than digitech. thats all. oh and i love all those genres of music, 60-2008, metal, rock, blues, metalcore, 80's hair bands, all of it man. oh and another thing im not even going to buy a pod im actually saving up for another pedal ( voxtonelab LE). fricken sick pedal man.

  • no drum machine... sry live performing only :P

  • does it have a drum machine on it?

  • il was very happy with my rp 500 digitech and a couple of tech 21 box just for analog sound ^^ and compare to the Pod i have before the digitech is better than any other digital modeling device i used before, especialy plug in to a real analog valve Amplifier .

  • check my friend compar: Analogs>Boss gt's>Zoom=Digitech=Vox>POD=Beringers, so guys if you get a digitech you are getting a mid range profesional sound, and if you get a Boss youll get the nearest prefect sound of analog pedals... except for GT10 is very digitally... but still in mid range and the very easy to edit

  • these pedal rocks! i have upgraded to RP355 from RP250 and let me say both of them satisfied me!!!!

check my videos btw. all the guitars recorded are through RP355

  • Should I buy this or the Pod x3 live, which one has more effects and such?

  • @bandofredempion pod x3 live is way better!!! dont buy digitech

  • @bianchiniman Kk thanks.

  • @bandofredempion no prob i would actually recomend the vox tonelab LE it is better than both

  • @bianchiniman

ahaahha what nub you are....... i sorry for you

...lol x3 live thats a bullshit....

  • @davilon05 digitech products dont allow you to go in and tweak like the high end pods do. sorry i prefer pro equiptment... not beginners pedals...

  • @bianchiniman mmh, i dont want to start a fight in a youtube vid.....

but i know pll who really know about pedals.... a Pod do his work

but they are just a Bullshit lol 500$ for a Bullshit... no ty... i prefer give 250 for a better sound , and a Decent distorcion, no a bullshit like POD use to be. ill going to repeat-_-, i hae friends with POd and all of them got a metal zone analog pedal cuz the POD is juz for clean guitar... that dont worth 500$... yes! a rp55 have more POwer that any Pod

  • @davilon05 thats fine with me i dont want to start a fight either. it sounds like to me your friends dont know what they are doing with there equiptment. i get great sounds for all types of music melodic metal, blues, rock, hardcore, to a bright clean and im using a floor pod plus... not high end. like i said high end pods are for pros and people who know what they are doing... and if all you play is metal then of course your going to think the pod sucks. metal players have one sound... LOUD!!!

  • @bianchiniman actually, the PODs are in first class again with the new line of POD pedal "PODHD", now POD sounds good in all aspects... and Bianchiniman and not try to convince you...-__- just give to cranburn a good opinion of what looking for... Line6 had never been the best in nothing.... PODHD is other history.

and if you dont like Alternative Rock--Hard Rock- MEtal, thats not my problem......lol Loud. That explains why you think POD is the best.

Tune your Ear men.. :P GOD BLess bye.!!

  • @davilon05 haha it was my suggestion. i myself dont like the digitech pedals, thats all i was saying. oh and i do love all those genres of music, thats what i listen to. 60-80 rock, alt rock, and metal all the way up to present day. i even like metalcore.

  • @davilon05 try the boss me 70

  • @bandofredempion Never buy a Pod x3..... this only have the essencials

effect and amp for guitar... cuz the x3 live isnt a guitar multieffect.... is

microphone, guitar, bass multieffect , so they had to limit the guitar effects

for instroducces the others instrument.... and all POD distorcions Suck!!!!!!

have no power and no presence..... i recommen you a BoSS pedal or a Digitech

    may a Zoom G9.2utt

  • Oh, I have got the same amp ! :3 And i Was searching for someone who play with this pedal on this amp ! Thank's (y) The sound is really good (y)

  • Can you show me the video of Wah Wah Pedal with the setting as well

  • Should I get this or the RP355? Does this have a looper and a metronome?

  • @AirHendrix91

yes have looper. i dk if have metronome but google it....-_-

  • REEBOK PUMP !!! YEAH

  • @nikogodlesstree where did he find those?

    LOLOLOLLLL

  • how long is the looper? can I plug in an earphone without an amp?

  • Wow you dress so new and hip how awesome and rad

  • the subscribe button is yellow tho

    xD

  • yo someone help me plz!!! my rp500 wont make any sounds, i broke my adapter so i bought a universal adapter and it powered on the pedal but it wont make any sounds wen i play my guitar

  • @Patriotdude26 dude....be really carefull....an universal adaptator wont work because the rp 500 uses a 9v AC-AC adaptator...and most of the universal adaptators are AC-DC or something else....if you remain using that adaptator, it will burn your pedal...so...go a find a 9v AC-AC....or else it wont work and you will destroy your pedal

  • Can someone please help me... i have this processor and when i turn on the wah, it gets really loud. when i go into the wah setting to turn down the wah volume, it turns down like the volume to everything. so can someonr tell me how i can just adjust the wah volume without it effecting the volume to eveything else.. thanks

  • hi, what amp did you used, watts RMS...?

  • 90% of the sounds on this vid sounded like Petrucci

    Which is goood!

  • he uses the amp and CAB modelling and goes thru the clean channel of the amp??? that doesn't make too much sense.

  • The amp is set to a clean channel, basically using it as just a speaker. Then he's using the built-in amp and cabinet modeling of the RP500, which then gets sent to the real amp to play over its speaker.

  • which more often than not sounds absolutely terrible in person. would you mic a guitar speaker and then play it back thru another guitar-speaker?

  • I wasn't commenting on whether it's a good design idea or not. You just said it didn't make much sense, as though you didn't understand the process he was using, so I explained it to you.

  • yeah sure. I didn't mean to attack you or anything. ;-)

  • the new rps have different out put settings all he needs to do is set it to amp out put my bro has anew rp when its set to amp out even with cab sim on it sounds very prescent but if its in mixer mode its muffled

  • yeah it doesn't but the video was probably made in a rush

  • its about versatility. if youre doing your own music and are happy with your amps sound, use the amps rpeamp and use the rp500 for effects, if you do covers and need a dozen different amp sounds in a set, then this is the easiest way to get them. for example, fender twin for your rhythm sound, sodano for the leads.

  • boss me-70 isnt that good ive tryed it

  • @TheArmin666 Its Far better than Me-70. Actually Tone Quality wise its much better than GT-10 or POD line 6 models. I guess nothing beats Digitech from RP500 onwards in world of Digital effects.

  • @surhit I used to love my RP 500,until I played on the Vox tonelab EX.I got rid of my rp 500,355,350 right away.I still have the rp 1000,but I haven't used it for months. The Vox sounds light years better in everyway.

  • theres a tiny little button to turn amp/cab models on and off, but its far too small to hit with my feet. Is there any way i could fix this? by like adding a a/b switch to the chain to turn it on and off? will that work? if not, does anyone know anything that will? cheers,

  • I'm curios about the delay effects of the rp500. How's the performance of the delay? Can it mimic U2 sound?

  • whats better...

Boss me-70 or this one, digitech rp500

    ???

  • @CaRive93 Depends what you want, if you want to model amps aswell, the rp500. if you want to just get effects (like a normal stompbox, then use the me 70 :)

  • @CaRive93 i like the BOSS ME 70

  • Thanks, great review. Particularly like the overdrive / tweed-type sound midway through the demo. I spoke to Digitech today about the fact that my new Line6 M9 doesn't "play nicely" with my Jamman because of differences in the digital signals. Will be buying an RP500 this week. Thanks again.

  • haha this guy looks rediculous

  • Aye Nahh!!! That man 'as pump shoes on. Hahahaha

  • well theyre australian. theyre all stuck in the 90s xDDD

  • Would anyone recomend this to get Mars Volta like effects?

  • That's what I use mine for, actually. You can get all kinds of wacky type effects to emulate Omar's sound.

  • Nice playing, but the playing says 80s while the look says EMO. :)

  • @OrangeCountyCarl Emo is 80s

  • this dude's look is stuck back in 1990..lol

  • @tkubecek hey he was my guitar teacher for half a year and he was good, big KISS fan though

  • Cool Thanx

  • digitech or zoom?

  • c, dude. you look retarded with this question. read the topic...

  • i konw is a digitech. i asked wich mark is better, zoom or digitech? it was bad questioned,

  • well, I have ZOOM 3000, it's an older version. And at the moment I have the Digitech RP500 at home(a friend of mine left it in my house) And it's not bad... it's batter then the zoom

  • sick shoes man

  • my digitech *_*
