@Drouge87 yes it does. but you can edit the grass however you want. so you could add your own dirt spots.

@squishyhugz grass slowly dies as you walk over it. check out some of my first vids and you'll get the idea. it can even get to a point where it turns your town into a complete desert.

In AC toolkit, you just need to go to Town, Edit town, Tasks, Restore grass. Then apply, save, and install savegame back to wii via savegame installer.

I had problems with grass too... no grass = almost no snow for snowman. There is an easy way to fix grass. You must have homebrew channel in wii and also have AC dvd. Then tools you need: save extractor, AC toolkit, save installer. Make a backup of your savegame! It took me about 5 minutes to fix grass in my whole town.

lol Nintendo FIXED the hack that lets you regrow your grass? maybe they should fix the stupid ass grass dying feature instead. man, Nintendo REALLY doesn't want people to enjoy the game. yes, it'll stay completely the same. you can change the style/pattern of your grass if you want to, though.

Did you know putting patterns over the dirt spots helps grass regrow. As long as you walk on the patterns, it works. And never run.

I did read the description. "This was using the 'Twilight Hack' which has been fixed by Nintendo PERMANENTLY." This lead me to believe that he created the hack. Not to mention it also says "I was at first against hacking," meaning that he is not 100% against it anymore. I wouldn't hack grass either, which is why I try to prevent the death of it, and will use patterns if it fails. You seem to be one not reading things unless I'm misunderstanding this. o-0

Yes, it works like 'real grass. And yes, it does get ruined again from walking/running on it, so you have to do it more than once.

If you have a hacked Wii, you can use Waninoko's "Save Game Extractor" to get the raw data from AC:CF onto your SD card then move the AC data to your computer and use the ACtoolkit program to restore all your grass, then use "Save Game Installer" to put the edited raw data back on your Wii.

hmm...I probably should've mentioned that using ACtoolkit was one way to restore your grass. I'm pretty sure there are other hacks you can use to get the same result and should be easy to find.
