I have read books about the Royal Family Massacre and King Birendra was ready to forgive his son Prince Dipendra, but sadly Prince Diprendra didn't heed his father. If King Birendra was alive today Nepal would be in much better shape than it is today. I am pretty sure that King Birendra would have come up with a more diplomatic solution to deal with the Maoists than his brother King Gyanendra.

The figure of 80% Nepali are Hindus are from 1990's census. But as of today you are correct that only 35%-45% are Hindus as Nepalese are leaving Brahmanical religion (Hindusim). Well, The conspiracy is that the politicians united to murder the royal family. Even the maoist were involved. To minimize panic they said Dipendra was alive who was vegetable at that time. Then they made Gyanendra the King, they couldn't abolish monarchy at once, and because Gyanendra had bad reputation, he was like a sock puppet. As He was patient-less he wanted to liquefy all parties and wanted all the power to himself. Then these fuckin parties brainwashed citizens and abolished monarchy.

Also there's another story that Paras Shah got into fight with one of the gurkha lahure in the discotheque over the girl. But Paras Shah used his body guards and lackey to beat the poor lahure. For that i think the God punished the Shah rulers by ending the Shah monarch in cold way.

I have read books about the Royal Family Massacre and King Birendra was ready to forgive his son Prince Dipendra, but sadly Prince Diprendra didn't heed his father. If King Birendra was alive today Nepal would be in much better shape than it is today. I am pretty sure that King Birendra would have come up with a more diplomatic solution to deal with the Maoists than his brother King Gyanendra.

As far I see it India was having better relation with king compare to Maoist, and u knw where Moist are tilted towards. Also you might be aware of lots illegal activity are happening in Nepal (done by pak) which is against India... so I can't understand how the killing of a King which had co-ordinal relationship with India would help.
