the way I look at it is, this very plain-looking middle-aged man has been able to create some catchy songs with lyrics that most people can relate to. Unlike most musical artists, he's not overly trying to impress anyone...as you can tell by his looks and his unorthodox singing style. But I believe his music truly comes from the heart, and Mark Gormley could not give a shit if the mainstream public likes his music.
