  • hey this is fantastic i saw my Grandmother dancing in the background she died 6 years ago, where and when is this from? anymore?

  • Is that the last figure of the Plain set ? Looks like it... :-)

  • the tunes are:

    star of munster

    the masons apron

    lucy campbells

  • Grand! .. Where can i buy a CD?

  • I have these on CD and it's fantastic. It's called music for sets.

  • who's playing the flute?

  • That's Paul Roche (once a member of Stockton's Wing - as was Kieran Hanrahan on banjo).

  • Yes skara, this is indeed Seamus Meehan on the box. This looks like the original line-up of the band to me. This must date from some time in the late 1980s?

  • Thanks, I'll see if it is available anywhere here in Dublin. By the looks of things, there is indeed some very nice Ceili bands featured and, for some reason or another, I'm going to through a phase of listening to quite a number of different bands. Thanks again!

  • That's a great clip. I'd be really interested to know the name of the DVD or video where this came from. I really must get my hands on it.

Declan Payne played piano box with the Templehouse CB at some point (I think) so it could possibly be him.

  • Cheers Rickupinoft, just seen some of your videos they're great. The name of this DVD is "Ceili Time In Ireland"

It's got some very good Ceili bands featured.

  • is this Seamus Meehan on the piano box ??
