CAPCOM should've at least came up with a LAN Gameplay Mode so you could at least play with your friends near you instead of it just being international. That would've been interesting as well as the original online gameplay. It will be missed, and to think it is going on 2 years now.

That is the TRUE Monster Hunter, this is something really well made, no one of the other chapters for PSP of MH could be compared with it.

Yes, in my opinion this is better, although in the newest chapters there are new monsters and so on, i prefer this one, and MH2 for PS2

Another question: what do you think about the controls with the psp version vs the ps2 (right analog stick actions)?

Does the psp one capture the feel of the ps2?

Personally, i prefer the analog sticks, but i think it depends on what type of controls you have used first. I have a couple of friends who hate analog sticks for MH O_o' (they had only played MH for PSP).

Anyway, the feel is almost the same, although i think you can have more control on the weapon with analog sticks.

@cliptheracer I disagree, I think MHFU is the best, it's got better online imo. But this game does look sick too. But all their own. Is that the correct phrasing.

@SlayerZaxy MH Freedom Unite has no online mode, it's just Kai which emulates an ad-hoc connection through the internet. There's not a central server, true online gathering hall (not the ad-hoc one) or whatever.

The only one that compares withi this is MHFrontier Online for PC.

True, but also not true. You can hook up your psp to your ps3 and use ad-hoc without Kai, which is easier, but I do agree that a central server would be nice. If it was for ps3 it would, but it is a handheld game, and shouldn't be compared to console games.

I dunno if you know this but MH1 uses the right analog stick for attacking. It's pretty unique and works pretty well.

I miss this game. I play this all bymyself on the PSP now. i had like 2k+ hours on the 1st monster hunter game. stupid that they shut down the online game play on the PS2. the memo they left made them sound greedy. 3 years of free online play. they should be glad ppl still play it and enjoy it.

No. Eating before a mission will boost your stats depending on what you eat, and drinking is just for fun lol.
