I just can't read very well.. don't even ask me how i got through AP US History... litterally i learn from the quiz and cross my fingers for the test... haha still got barely a 3 on the AP test!! reading that thing was freakin challenging too! its tough
@MrButtloaf haha and my writing is so ineligible that the teacher dreaded to read my essays... even when i wrote as neatly as i coud she couldnt read em! thats annoying. im being a loser aight bye i guess
i have no reading problems before or even now. the only thing is, I find it so hard to comprehend in reading complicated matters (like reading deep books, subjects math) i also often got this "short term memory loss". like when i wanted to tell something and someone interferes, then in a second i forget what i am suppose to say. it's like my idea is fading away and I can't control it to stop. then it's all gone and i can't remember anything .. am i sick or am i just dumb and stupid?? PLS HELP!
Often times children are just not motivated by the materials or the individual that is presents them to them. Learning has become a stress induced experience for lots of children. Because some of don't understand that there are different learning styles. Providing good differential learning materials that allow a child to feel relaxed helps eliminate anxiety, increases confidence and fosters spontaneous learning. Most important is self confidence and harsh judgment destroys it.
I hate this whole "they are just unmotivated" crap! I got bad grades all the way from elementary school to high school. And my parents and teachers would just say 'We know you can do better, you are so bright. You just need to stay focus and be motivated to do your work.' NO! how the fuck do you know im so "bright"?! They still to this say have not realized that it wasnt that i didnt try, it just that im not very smart. Simple as that.
my mom wasn't the "ever so gently" type. she was the "u're gonna fucking do it or i'll make your life a living hell" type. what if someone has a life that is nothing but failing experiences?
Some kids just don't try, it's not always the parent's fault. Compare me to my two stupid little brothers...I'm only a year older than they are...They f*cken flunked Kindergarten! In my 3rd grade year, their teachers request me to go to their class a certain day and time in a week and help them out. My parents do their best but my little brothers just don't have a BRAIN at all! Now they're still in high school and stuck in ELD!
MY sister does this, in the end, my mom ends up writing the answer on her paper cuz she gets really annoyed. And im more annoyed that she is doing all the work. I mean, its my sister's home work, not my mom's!So i erase all the answers from my sis's paper some times, and I wake her up early and i tell her what I have done and that she has to finish her homework before she leaves for school,or she is going to get a bad grade.

Everybody doesn't try, there is only a do and a do not.
If I asked you to try and pick up the pen I've dropped on the floor... and you pick it up, then you haven't tried, rather then you've done it... if you left the pen on the floor then you haven't picked it up.

Its most likely because the child has bigger problems to deal with than questions on a piece of paper-LEARNING DISABILITIES AND ABUSIVE PARENTS.

Take it from someone who got a 2.8 year gpa from 9-10 grade
and a 4.5 in 11th grade,
There's nothing a parent can do. The more they do, the more damage they cause.
The person must find their own goal in life ALONE or with any friend other than parents.

Educators are concerned with motivating students beyond apprehensions. Effort is a product of motivation and perception.
