this work is by Thomas Morley, an English composer and was created in 1595. Madrigals are amusing. The fa la la la bit is when they are doing naughty things generally in such works! This version is entertaining and enjoyable.....thanks guys
Wow. I'd like to point out that that young man hit a high F natural towards the end! That's the third F natural above middle C! Holy crap! I'm amazed! :D
this song takes so much rehearsal... not because it's a difficult piece, but because all the choir members have to sing it soooo much so that the jokes get old enough so they don't bust out laughing during the concert and actually make it the whole way through the song.
@scoRocs my choir is doing this song for our madrigal and we were joking around, doing some of the movements in here. and we couldn't keep a straight face cuz it was so funny! :)
lmfao Best rendition of "My Bonny Lass She Smelleth" I've heard/seen so far. I did this with a few other choir members (with one person on each part) last year, and compared to this, it pales in comparison. (Well, we only had 1.5 weeks to learn/rehearse it before we had to perform, but still...) Very well done!
Haha. I thought this was my choir for a minute, a few years back we sang a lovely "screaming" type peace, Suite De Lorca, I forget what song within it it is. But this is nice =D
hahaha, great. my bonny lass is a great madrigal, but peter shickele outdid himself on this one. i have the sheet music upstairs....but...where was the scat singing?? haha, jk. quite good.
yes he was really singing that note, I am in choir with him right now at I.F. he actually just did it today for old times sakes. It is amazing I have never asked how he found out he could do that, I wasn't in choir with them last year so I am not so sure, but it is amazing.
my choir did this a while ago....amazinnggggg we sounded pretty similar. the acting was the most fun for me :)
