when i record a loop with my guitar on clean and then try and play over it with distrosion it changes the clean loop to distorted as well. is there any way i can record a clean loop and then play over it with distrotion???
Awesome-I'm as impressed as everyone else, you are very talented. NOW...here's my question-can the Jam Man CHANGE KEYS uninterrupted (via footswitch maybe?) to create a SONG instead of JUST A JAM in ONLY ONE KEY? Thanks!
I never understood when to end the loop. It allways ended up with me getting 7.6 beats or so out of 8 beats. I don't know how to explain it, but it's allways wrong. I tried like 15 times to do it. it just didn't work.
That sheet is fuuuunkyyyy! I just got a jamman pedal too, using it in a gig tomorrow night, and just got it ystrdy. Will post vids next week of the show.
I just got a JamMan, quite fun i might add, but...how do i get my processor to do what your doing, it seems that any time i use distortion and layer, it just red lines and you cant hear shit. i use the digitech rp80 if it makes any difference
Wow..did'nt know DigiTech had this out there.Screw a GNX!!I can use my existing Boss GT-3 processor now..kewl.Got to get me a JamMan.That's one Funky Hippo btw.lol
question about the jamman - here you've just built up layers and layers on top of each other - is it possible to build layers up, then stop the loops, then bring them back in again without having to re-record? preferably seperately - an example being for a break or middle eight where everything pauses and its just one instrument solo, then everything else joins in again.
for the looper it's digitech jamman or boss rc20 that's all i know. for the guitar effects...there are other brands, maybe more simple and cheaper. my best advice, check guitar forums if you want more informations.
if you already have a processor, i would definately get this. you can record a loop up to 24 minutes. so basically, record a loop for the rythem of an entire song, and play lead for the same song on a different loop over the rythem loop, and you have a great sounding song! than when you get something you like, save it on your computer!
I don't own a Jam Man (yet), but I'd suggest taking the time to save up for the best product out there. Don't cheap out, you'll regret it in the long run. You'll get what you pay for. Peace bro'.
omg that is so amazing. i was looking up some effect pedals and i ended up here and after watching that im definantly getting one of those. and also you rock!!! |..|,
I got a boss gt6. To explain this better. When I make a recording and switch to a different effect everything changes according to wat I choose. E.g. 5 min Recording in acoustic. I would like to play a nice solo lead in distortion however once I press the distortion my whole recording changes to distortion. I want to keep the acoustic sound and play distortion over it. I have no idea how to get it working like yours.
ok got it . did you plug in that order ? guitar - boss - jamman - amp . it should work . i think for now you're plugged like that : guit - jamman - boss- amp ;)
dam, u have rhythm..... I like what u did with the jamman, its DIFFERENT AND VERY GOOD. One thingy though, i think u started adding too many parts....
Yeah, at first I thought it was going to be really simple, but I was impressed. This was really cool to listen to. It was very "Wall of sound" but that's kind of cool considering you're just one guy playing it live.
i like it!! - im thinking of getting one- this has made my mind up - yes a bit overdone but it shows what great toy this is - can you put the loops onto the computer? - i've just bought a boss micro recorder BR, i probably would have been better off buying one of these - thanks
i know what you mean and i agree i did too much for the main riff/theme. but i made 3 takes, this one was the first one and the best to me so i kept this one . thanks for this interesting comment .

How are you connecting this through your amp and other stuff?? When I connect all I get is clean sound, even when my amp's drive is turned on.
GetBackJack123 3 years ago
LOL
you have to put distortion in your sound BEFORE it gets to the jamman (dist. pedals)

not sure what's the problem. might be the outpout level of your processor that is too high. or inst level on the jamman.
charly7v 3 years ago

you can stop the loops but when you bring them back it will be the entire loop
charly7v 4 years ago
for something like that, you want the BOSS RC50 that does all that kinda shizz
jakeblandjk47 4 years ago
Can i ask how much your effect pedals (jamman and the boos) costed?
vinnypmetalmaniac 4 years ago
300 € for the JamMan and 450 € for the boss

wow i didnt think it would be more than $200 each. do you know of any different modeels by any other brands you can recomend
