@MegaSeanTV Howard Hughs is assumend to have died of an overdose but i don't believe an autopsy was ever done so its far from certain.
As to the meaning of the song I think he is trying to empathise with how Howard felt about the world "society don't accept me or you" giving the inclination that he understand what it's like to be misunderstood. As many will know later in his life Howard became a serial recluse which is common for people of his genius unfortunatly.
@Numb3rkid They did an autopsy. He had hypodermic needles broken off in his arms to inject codeine. Anther guy thought he lived until 2001 under an assumed alias....there's this amazing website called Wikipedia....you should try it.
So....if you can't even begin to decide what your first favorite is.....and this is your second favorite, technically, this is your first favorite.....yes? 0.o
Heres some of the theroies, Howard Hughes, one of the world's richest men, died from dehydration, malnutrition and neglect, or His reclusive activities and drug use, and some say he really had a heart attack but was listed with kidney failure, Also there is a theory that he was a hypocrondriact and locked him self up in a hotel room where the FBI found him dead with broken hydermic needles stuck in his arms... eather way he was a great man and it is sad that he passed.
Howard Robard Hughes, Jr. (December 24, 1905 April 5, 1976) was an American aviator, industrialist, film producer/director, philanthropist, and one of the wealthiest people in the world
i think its him, at the end of the song it says about his wealth and planes and whatnot :)
Howard hughes was this eccentric billionare from the the first have of the twentieth century and part of the second. He was rich for a reason people. Planes, Films, Hotels, medicine..you name it he was part of it. And he died of Kidney failure not overdose. He was addicted to morphine and had severe OCD. happy?
please he's one of the most famous billionares in the world. i've read about him on 3 different occassions in school. And insulting people on youtube..real classy...
@rocker141312 mr rocker, don't patronize us, just because we don't know a name we make up for it by knowing an F flat major scale/key signature has 7 flats and 1 double flat note, and next you'll probably tell me F flat doesn't exist, and if you don't know about music, well, there's always something people don't know isn't there? :)
@blehman7011 I wasn't patronizing...no one seemed to really know who Howard Hughes was so I let people know. I wasn't aware helping people learn more about history was such a bad thing to do. Don't worry I won't answer a question ever again, to avoid spreading the disease which is knowledge.
Yes you speak for everyone don't you? Obviously people cared for @rocker141312 comment, since it has 10 thumbs up. Cool you know all the technical stuff about music, you know your sharps and flats, good for you, you are at the same level as a computer or tuner, now how about being a human and telling us the meaning. I doubt you even know how to play music with meaning or soul, if music was just like that, we would just use computer synthesizers for everything.
i don't know about BEST song...i really like I Can't Go On and A Call to Arms...and after to listening to this album non-stop for the past two weeks, I do have to argee with Arcadiaus that this is probably my least favorite

Yeh, he had his hands in all sorts, and when they found him he overdosed or something, and he had really long nails :p
I think the whatever happened to Howard Hughes refers to the story of his death,as it was afterall, obscure to say the least
