No wonder Torn barely talked before! It sounds like you struggle a little and have pain in your throat with his voice if you listen closely. D: It still sounds like you have fun with the voices, though! Especially with Jinx. xD
I'm the same guy in all of them. My professional last name changed, that's all. I don't really sound like either guy. They're both pretty extreme. But probably, if I HAD to choose, Jinx (without the NY accent.)
Wow...I had no idea. You guys have so many various "codes" for stuff I guess I should pay more attention. Thanks for the heads up. The title's been changed to reflect it more accurately!
Oh, no, you needn't pay more attention! I mostly meant to illustrate that my head was in the wrong place. XD
Spending too much time in fandom-world is bad for the brain, and your innocence - though after 2 Girls 1 Cup, I'm sure your innocence is pretty well smashed to bits.
So yeah, dude, I thought for a minute that you'd posted a vid dedicated to Torn and Jinx's big gay love. (In fandom, NameA/NameB usually means romance.) As awesome as that would have been, this is still an awesome scene. I didn't realize you voiced Jinx! Spifftastic.
That's why DAN AREY (the creator and director) was such a GREAT talent. He ALWAYS had the ability to describe each and every performance note accurately to keep you in line.
It sounds and looks easy but imagine recording something at 12:00pm (a conversation with someone else) then having to fit in all the responses at 12:30pm. In LINE (emotionally) and matching the "cue lines" you're responding to.
As to your first comment thanks, that's an honor. But with or without TORN or JINX I think any new JAK game will be a GREAT success! You fans of it are CRAZY devoted and the game-makers themselves are pretty darn good at delivering great product!
In regard to Question 2 - They were all done in the same sessions but in order of scenes.
So if you were at Cut Scene "A" with both characters, you record the first one then move on to the second after the first one's dialogue is concluded.
Actually, that's not accurate. It reads like I'm saying you bounce back and forth. That's not the case. If you have two characters in a scene together (like TORN & JINX) you record all of Torn's stuff first. Everything he has to say during that session (which might be stuff from many different scenes) then you move on to the next character and record all of his stuff. So it's more manageable that way.
If there's no Torn in the next game, I may actually consider not playing it. But then I will. And complain about his absence the entire time :/
Question; Cutter, did you jump from the two characters in one session or did the lines just come at you at random? How do the recording thingers go usually, I guess is what I'm asking.
I haven't recorded any sessions and haven't heard of any new game but you never know what's going to happen down the road. I hope one DOES happen! They're fun to do.

@TheRatchetLover Nope. No pain for Torn's voice, TRL! But thanks for the nice comment!

Their voices are sooo different! Which one do you sound like more in real life? And do you do Cutter's voice in Jak X too?

I'm currently uploading the complete TORN stuff from JAK II (thanks to JaZerGames!) so hopefully it'll be up before too long!
(It's a biiiiiig file!)
It's been AMAZING to watch the scenes I'd never seen before and see the whole story unfold.
I totally get why you all dig TORN now.
He's waaaaay cooler than me!
You guys ROCK!

Part 3:
And, as I can tell by all the JAK fans out there: A pretty good story-teller too!
