a chi is a chi. There are no fakes. Basically, if you get a "fake" from china or wherever really cheap it still came from the factory. There may not be a code on there and may never be able to verify that it is "authentic". Will still have chi name and work just as well.

@pinkdungeondragon I doubt target would sell cheap knockoffs so yes I'm sure it's real. To double check, grab the manual that came with the CHI and call the number there. Just by giving them the model number they should be able to tell you if it's real or not
@cottoncandy305 I'm not quite sure, but I'm almost positive it should have the reset button and be three pronged. If your chi came with a manual, call the number on it and give them the CHI's model number. They should be able to tell you if it's authentic or not
tks for showing the difference ,i was just looking for one of those irons the other day . I've been seeing so many good comments on you tube about this curling iron . i'm still looking ,but can't find one in the city i live in Canada . I think i'll have to try online..tks for review!!

The fake chi is called the CHI Nano, so that's how you know its fake. :)
