  • How did u get them to work in a spanning mode?

  • @jory11kehler I am using an ATI 5870 Eyefinity 6 card with each monitor connected by display port. The latest drivers from ATI suport 5 monitors in portrait

  • complimenti davvero una postazione da favola... si vede incredibilmente bene e con un realismo fantastico..

  • @soapman7x7 Grazie per il vostro commento

  • that's insane! It looks very realistic. Congrats!

  • Beautiful!

  • best multi monitor setup iv seen :)

  • My favourite scenery vfr photograhpic with treescapes!

  • wow ur parents are rich :D

  • I have the Ifly737 and I think that it is pretty good

  • what is the best flight sim to get to fly commercial jet ?

  • The computer has an Intel I7 980xchip running at 4.2 GHz with a single ATI 5870 Card running 5 Samsung MD230 Monitors each at 1920x1080 under Eyefinity6 on a Gigabyte MB with 6 GB RAM . Don't know about Minesweeper :) but I can run A10, Wings of Prey, Blackshark and X-Plane 9 very well. I will shortly ( in the next week or so post a vid for you to see.

  • @overrtherainbow1013 The processor seems like overkill for one 5870

  • @PCgamingTech

Probably so but that is the processor that I have and the results are very good. I should actually see some real benefit with the extra processor cores with X-Plane 10

  • @overrtherainbow1013 maybe you should save up to upgrade i did not i have pretty much the same spec but i also have a 6990

  • @wtfsincerlyjapan At the time that I did this, the 6990 would not support 5x1 portrait at all. In any event ATI are now talking about the 7 series generation so I think that I will pass.

  • @overrtherainbow1013 The 7970 has already been benchmarked by many online reviewers, and the results are good. I believe it will be released very soon, so if you're interested in an upgrade, now is a great time. Like I said, your processor is top notch, so a new GPU would provide massive performance increases in games.

  • What monitors stands are you running?

  • @gpinzon1 I actually have the set of the six screens. I used the hinges provided to join up the 5 in portrait. I then had to manufacture a very rigid heavy duty alloy stand on castors to support all 5. The weight is quite far forward and you also need access for routine maintenance such as making sure you have no loose cables etc. On my next video, which will be soon, I will show you what the stand looks like.

  • wow this is the eyefinity setup I want. I think it is far better than landscape 3x1. I hope fsx can run on portrait 7x1 though, which provide wider view.

  • @ocseong818 I am now running at 5770x1920. The maximum resolution possible in FSX is 6000 pixels across and it would not be possible to run portrait 7x1 except by reducing resolution which I would not wish to do. To me, with five screens and Track IR, what I have at present is more than satisfactory:)

  • @ocseong818 I don't think the Eyefinity drivers support 7x1. You'd have to hack it together with SoftTH I bet. Also, after running a 3x1L setup for a while, you get tired of the fisheye. 5x1P gives a nice range and covers the peripheral of the eye rather well.

  • @overrtherainbow1013 Holy Cow, MD230's are expensive.

  • @dark2koneko I can only agree with you but the quality of the image is the bes t that I have seen. I currently have MD230x6 and the extra monitor will be used as an instrument panel running Project Magenta GA-IFR aimed at instrument training . We had to make a very substancial base to take the weight of this arrangement as the centre of gravity is well forward. I will shortly be posting a new video showing FSX and X=-Plane running in this configuration.

  • @overrtherainbow1013 I like what you're doing, keep it up. Make sure to make a video of the final build.

  • what are your system specs
