Didn't work for me. Well it one way it did but it didnt. I cant even view the site myself because it doesnt see that I have flash running on my computer. (redownloaded flash player about 4 times just to make sure everything is working) I cant even tell if it is working or even looks right because of that. If you can email me the extra code that I would need to I can view my site. that would be a great help. (just the whole javascript crap.) I would love to see my site up in running in a few days

@Waffliner - Open source version of web intersect has no Flash at all... just let the guys play and choose. Javascript is more of a web standard than flash... it is not better though by any means. Flash is way more creative and fun. The site gives both now so calm down brother... I would also bet that I use Ajax daily more than you.

Comment: When you do the trick and you COPY and PASTE the Flash object in a new page you do save many codelines. However DWCS4 has a problem with the EMBED command. The result is a broken flash object. Any way around this?

When I export from flash I get a html file but when I open this file in dreamweaver (CS4) the flash is embedded with JS. Kinda a pain in the ass because its like 300 lines compared to 40 or whatever. What really is annoying though is that I cannot center my swf. In dw8 its seems to add a table or something around the swf but when I try to align my won swf (tried both absolute middle and middle) it doesn't work. Any help? Thanks

go into code view and type in the center tag and closing center tag aroung the embeded object

just klick beside your flash header (like in the video) and then go down to your properties... At the left side klick on "css" and there klick center :)

ha ha people complaining about paying for flash... just download the 30 day trial, get yourself one paid client or one paid project, and, voila, you paid for the license many times over, no out of pocket investment. that's what i did in the past with other tools, never had to pay a fee out of my own pocket. I think anyone who has a good business sense will use revenue to pay for license fees... :)

I want to make a sidebar and I want it to be dynamic but I want it to have full length

there is a section near the bottom which i want to be bigger for bigger screens and smaller for smaller ones.

It will be an include file for different lists and I want users to be able to scroll through the lists for smaller screens.

Excellent video tutorials. Use Flash or whatever the heck you want, you are the one teaching the lessons! People need to realize you are doing everyone a favor and stop complaining about flash.

I personally don't use flash anymore and lean towards Javascript, but I could care less. I am learning a lot about php and MySql.

dude, all i wanted was a basic community tutorial this flash business is just way towards some sort of agenda, theres a reason why flash is not used in this way, IPOD touches wont be able to show the header, jesus christ i was looking forward to this.

cool tutorial..couple of things..i agree with you, whoever doesn't have flash nowadays is really doomed and they definitely gotta be a couple of people and a few million mobile users. Let's just hope adobe will come up with flash for mobile soon...you also said something about the standards, i think the standards are more meant to be important to the vendors. Keep it up dude.
