  • magnifique innoubliable et immortels tout jeune j'ai entendu Reda caire dans la veuve joyeuse mais j'etais vraiment tres jeune

  • Absolutely sensational. A fantastic collection of music from a period when they understood that music and beauty were inseparable. I do not have the words to express how much pleasure this 6+ minutes provides.

  • I think this recording is from 1934/1935, not 1929 :)

Reda Caire records his first song in 1932 for Parlophone. Between 1932 and 1934, he records for Parlophone, and after 1934 till the war, for Pathé.

(Near the label, there is normally a number beginning with "M3". If you say it to me, I could give you the recording date.)

  • Bellissimo!!!!!!!!!

  • This gave me the opportunity to imagine myself doing the waltz wearing a boater at the Moulin de la Galette. Drink some chicken soup and get better, G!

  • Poor Grzegorz, I am sending you some virtual chicken soup on the Champagne Rocket. I hope it lands safely. :-)

  • Beautiful posting, but please relax and recover your health.

  • Délicieusement rétro !

  • The hats of Belle Epoque are really very impressive! :D

  • This is absolutely wonderful.

  • what a lovely video! thank you so much 240252.. this is my favourite...are you from france?

  • "le petit coeur de ninon"

c'est la chanson qu'il y a dans la bete humaine avec gabin

  • Addendum: this is quite a pot pourri of music, well beyond the music hall. Love the melody that starts ca.6:O8. Vive la France!

  • Another delight. French music hall is almost as good as the British. But how come you're up so late?
